The show ‘The Rookie’ originally focused on John Nolan, who was unique as the oldest rookie ever to join the Los Angeles Police Department. Celina Juarez was his trainee until recently, and now it’s Miles Penn, a former Texas police officer seeking a change of scenery in Los Angeles. Fans can now watch new episodes a day before they air.

What’s Ahead for The Rookie In the Rest of Season 8
For the time being, you can watch The Rookie on Monday nights at 10 PM. Last year, ABC moved the show to an earlier time slot after High Potential finished its season. High Potential will continue to air on Tuesdays, and The Rookie now follows the two-hour show American Idol. Whether The Rookie will remain in this slot long-term is still uncertain.
The show “The Network” continues next Monday, February 2nd, picking up where the premiere left off. We’ll see more of Stevens cooperating with authorities by revealing her connections to criminals in exchange for immunity. Expect to see other familiar villains, including Oscar Hutchinson, reappear as the eighth season unfolds, along with appearances from characters like the less threatening Seth Ridley.
The show’s creator is also excited for viewers to see the premiere. While Bradford and Lucy Chen making amends is a key moment, it’s just the start. Their evolving relationship, combined with their new jobs and life changes, will continue to create compelling drama throughout the series.
