The Rings of Power season 2 episode 5 release date, time, and what to expect

As a dedicated fan who has traversed the treacherous landscapes of Middle-earth and delved into the deepest lore of Tolkien’s realm, I eagerly await the upcoming episode 5 of The Rings of Power season 2. The suspense is palpable as we find ourselves at the halfway mark, yet the intrigue only intensifies with each passing day.

At the conclusion of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 2 episode 4, Galadriel finds herself in a challenging position. Fortunately, we’re not far from discovering her fate as she was taken captive by Adar and his orc army, advancing on Eregion, in The Rings of Power season 2 episode 5.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that we’ve passed the midpoint of the second season of “The Rings of Power.” Even with initial lower ratings, things are certainly picking up as we approach episode five, making it an exciting time for viewers.

The Rings of Power season 2 episode 5 release date and time

The fifth episode of “The Rings of Power” season 2 will air at midnight Pacific Time and 3:00 AM Eastern Time on Thursday, September 12th. You can watch it exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.

Following episode 5, just three more episodes remain in this season of “The Rings of Power”. Here’s when you can expect the last three episodes: [provide the remaining release dates]

  • Episode 6: Thursday, Sept. 19
  • Episode 7: Thursday, Sept. 26
  • Episode 8: Thursday, Oct. 3

What to expect in The Rings of Power season 2 episode 5

Indeed, Amazon Prime Video has yet to release a sneak peek for episode 5 of “The Rings of Power” season 2, but based on previous episodes and the show’s narrative structure, we can make some educated guesses about what lies ahead in this upcoming installment.

On their journey to alert Celebrimbor in Eregion about Sauron, Elrond and Galadriel’s group unexpectedly encounter Adar’s army of orcs advancing through the woods towards Eregion. Galadriel hands her ring over to Elrond and urges them to escape quickly as she intends to delay the orcs. If Elrond and his companions can return to Lindon and mobilize forces for Eregion, they might be able to thwart Adar and his orc army.

I can’t believe it, but Adar seems to have been tricked by this guy Halbrand into thinking I’m colluding with Sauron to regain power over him. It’s crazy, man! It’s like he’s using me as an excuse for his aggression against Eregion. As if, right?

To put it simply, Galadriel finds herself captured by Adar and his orcish troops. Adar intends to delve deeper into the alliance he has with Sauron. The question is whether Galadriel will reveal the truth of the matter. Let’s see what happens next!

In Rhun, the Outsider learns from Tom Bombadil that he was dispatched to Middle-earth with a mission: to spearhead the campaign against the evil Sorcerer who dominates the land at present, and Sauron as well. Tom will guide him, but the Stranger must navigate his own path to some degree along the way.

Regarding Sauron, it’s worth noting that neither Celebrimbor nor Annatar appeared in episode 4. It seems likely we’ll see them creating additional rings in the near future as well. For those following along, we now have a total of ten rings! Seven more are needed for the Kings of Men, and they need to be crafted quickly.

In Numenor, Pharozan has taken control following the turmoil that disrupted Miriel’s coronation in the final moments of episode 3. Let’s see what happens next! (Note: This paraphrase aims to maintain the original meaning while providing a more conversational and engaging tone.)

In another part of Middle-earth, Dwarves received their rings during the third episode. Since the Durins were absent from episode 4, it’s only a matter of time before we reconnect with them! This could happen as early as episode 5 or perhaps even in episode 6, but rest assured, they will return to our screens soon!

So, that’s how things stand heading into The Rings of Power season 2 episode 5!

Watch The Rings of Power season 2 episode 5 on Prime Video on Thursday, Sept. 12!
