The red flags that ‘disturbed’ Hugh Jackman’s ex… the truth was hiding in plain sight
In an effort to establish a relationship before Hugh Jackman’s unexpected divorce, his new partner, Sutton Foster, endeavored to make friends with his wife by participating in joint outings with the couple.
Deborra-Lee Furness believed Foster might have been emotionally involved with another person while married, and she felt troubled when Foster tried to develop a friendship with her, according to the Daily Mail.
However, the unnamed Australian actress seems to find solace in the belief that their joint actions will eventually catch up to them, as reported by a source close to the situation.
In September 2023, Furness, aged 69, and Jackman, aged 56, shared news of their separation in a statement, explaining to their fans that they were undergoing changes and consequently chose to part ways to focus on their personal development separately.
It wasn’t long before whispers spread about a romantic involvement between Jackman and Foster. In fact, they eventually confirmed their relationship status in January, leading many fans to believe that the photograph of them exiting a Los Angeles eatery with linked hands was deliberately staged.
I’m deeply disappointed in Foster, as it seems he attempted to encroach upon my space. I firmly believe that he should accept responsibility for the dissolution of our marriage with the Wolverine star, a union that produced our children Oscar, now 25, and Ava, who is 19 years old.
According to a source, it’s deeply unsettling for Deb that Sutton frequently went on double dates with him and made such an effort to become friends with her. [Daily Mail]

‘She will never have anything to do with Sutton.
‘Deb is friends with Sutton’s ex and they both share a deep sense of betrayal.’
From the year 2014 up until 2024, Foster was wedded to screenwriter Ted Griffin. Together, they are proud guardians of their seven-year-old adopted child named Emily.
Furness finds it impossible to pardon Foster, known for her roles in Younger and Bunheads, as she feels that Foster contributed to the disintegration of their marriage. She strongly believes that Foster should acknowledge his responsibility in this matter.
According to our source, Deb has made her declaration and is now concentrating on progressing with her life. She’s taken necessary steps to ensure that this incident won’t prevent her from experiencing life fully or finding love again. Our source adds that Deb believes that in time, this situation will eventually circle back around to them both.
Earlier, Furness shared her sentiments of hurt and distress over the incident of betrayal in a powerful declaration made to Daily Mail. It went something like this: “I extend my empathy and sympathy to all those who have experienced the painful ordeal of being betrayed.
‘This hurt runs very deeply, but I trust in something greater but personal – be it God or the universe – and I firmly believe this mysterious force is constantly working TO our advantage.’

Jackman hasn’t issued a statement regarding the separation yet, but a source shared with Daily Mail that he felt quite disheartened by her comments, since he thought they had agreed not to publicly criticize each other, as they held a mutual understanding on this matter.
At the recent Drama Desk Awards in New York, Foster kept mum and skillfully dodged queries concerning her personal relationships, choosing to attend alone.
Nevertheless, actor Michael Urie, who portrayed Foster’s romantic partner in the Broadway play Once Upon a Mattress, didn’t hesitate to reveal details about his recent romance.
44-year-old Urie expressed, “You know, she’s more than just a coworker to me; she’s also my cherished friend. I adore her immensely and I’m certain that she’s an exceptional individual. Her circle is always filled with remarkable people.
Speaking about Fosters relationship with Jackman, he expressed: ‘I trust her and I think she is content.’
However, the blissful partnership between them might face challenges due to whispers suggesting Furness is planning to publish a revealing memoir detailing aspects of her relationship with Jackman.
Last week, the Daily Mail disclosed that the actress has been inundated with attractive book proposals, promising substantial sums to expose the truth about their marriage and share private experiences they shared, even addressing longstanding speculations regarding his sexual orientation.
The Daily Mail has approached Furness, Jackman and Sutton’s representatives for comment.
