The Recruit season 3 teased by showrunner
The Recruit showrunner has teased what could be in store for season 3.
The Netflix series features Noah Centineo portraying Owen Hendricks, a fresh lawyer who takes on various spy activities for the CIA. The latest season 2 shifted the action to South Korea, introducing Teo Yoo from “Past Lives” as character Jang Kyu into the cast.
In conversation with TVLine, the showrunner Alexi Hawley mentioned that he has several ideas regarding the show’s upcoming direction.
Without providing detailed explanations, he mentioned his eagerness to reintroduce the character Yoo in the storyline, starting from where the season 2 finale left off.
He made it clear that he wasn’t necessarily going to be a permanent addition, but emphatically stated that he was certainly someone I wanted to have on our team.
It seems that the character Nichka, played by Maddie Hasson, might make another appearance, as suggested by Hawley.
In today’s world, where people are well-versed due to consuming vast amounts of content, it can be challenging to deliver the unexpected. However, introducing unpredictable elements or “wild cards” adds an exciting element because you never know what will happen. They might reappear, they might not – either way, it’s a thrilling mystery!
Regarding the primary character, Owen, Hawley mentioned that he aims for a long-term reconciliation with his ex, Hannah Copeland, placing great emphasis on the ‘long-term’ nature of this goal.
The showrunner stated, “For Hannah to return, in any manner whatsoever, Owen needs to clearly demonstrate that he has changed significantly. I’m not sure he’s changed enough yet to reach that point.
The Recruit seasons 1 and 2 are both available to stream on Netflix.
