The REAL Reason Molly-Mae and Tommy’s Split Was Just a Publicity Stunt

As a devoted admirer, I must admit that the couple, both 25 and forged in the high-profile reality dating show Love Island during its 2019 season, managed to capture the nation’s attention. This would not have been the case if, following five years as one of Britain’s wealthiest celebrity duos, they hadn’t decided to part ways publicly. Their separation became a national topic of conversation.

In addition, Molly-Mae’s fashion line, MaeBe, was scheduled to hit the shelves in two weeks, and Tommy’s autobiography titled “Lightning Can Strike Twice: My Life as a Fury” was set for publication within two months.

Four days on, knowing Molly’s fondness for horror flicks, Tommy arranged a clandestine movie outing for her, showing “Nosferatu”. The evening ended with him spending the night over at her residence.

After that, he was spotted departing from the £4 million Cheshire mansion, which they shared as a couple, donning the exact attire he wore the previous day.

Despite Molly-Mae having launched three episodes of her new Amazon Prime documentary, Molly-Mae: Behind It All, and holding a promotional press conference, as well as Tommy granting an open interview with Men’s Health magazine – neither of them have officially confirmed that they are back together.

It is understandable that some of their supporters might find it hard to believe Molly-Mae’s emphatic claims that the breakup wasn’t orchestrated for increased exposure of their ventures, given its timing and circumstances.

It hurts deeply when I encounter such remarks – and believe me, I have noticed them all – as they insinuate my actions were merely a strategy for product launch or publicity. However, these comments cut deep because they trivialize the genuine struggles I’m facing in real life.

Instead of addressing the split or providing explanations, boxer Tommy chose not to discuss it when interviewed by the Daily Mail in October while promoting his autobiography. This could imply that Molly-Mae may have underestimated her fans’ ability to understand without such details.

Three months down the line, on the identical date as Molly-Mae’s press conference, he confided in Men’s Health that their separation was due to what he termed his alcohol issue.

He explained that the cause of him and Molly splitting up was his struggle with alcohol addiction, which prevented him from being the partner he desired to be anymore.

As a dedicated follower, I find it intriguing to consider how alcohol-related issues could potentially impact any bond, yet it seems peculiar that speculation about Tommy’s faithfulness didn’t swiftly dispel the notion that his personal struggles with alcohol might have contributed to the breakup.

In the documentary, Molly-Mae clarifies the speculations about Tommy allegedly being unfaithful during his ‘lads’ trip to Ohrid, North Macedonia. Although the rumors appeared insubstantial to me, primarily because no one came forward claiming to have had a romantic encounter with him.

The incident that came closest to being a holiday scandal involved Tommy meeting Milla Corfixen, a beautiful Danish woman, in a nightclub.

The twenty-year-old confessed to meeting Tommy on three distinct holidays, but emphasized that beyond these encounters, no further incidents transpired between them.

Milla stated, “I was the one referred to as ‘the girl,’ but no significant events transpired. We simply enjoyed ourselves and engaged in conversation. No actions were taken.

I wouldn’t engage in any actions with someone who is already married and has a young child, since they are committed to their spouse.
