The REAL reason Gold Logie star Larry Emdur suddenly vanished from TV screens after alleged ‘stalker’ tried to infiltrated Seven headquarters
As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I have seen it all when it comes to the world of entertainment. The story of Larry Emdur, the Gold Logie-winning presenter who allegedly faced stalking by an obsessed fan, is yet another example of the challenges that come with fame.
EXCLUSIVE
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I find myself continually inspired by the resilience and dedication demonstrated by Gold Logie-winning presenter Larry Emdur. Despite reportedly being pursued persistently by an ardent admirer following his triumphant win at this month’s TV industry’s grand event, he maintains an unwavering focus on his work. His commitment to his craft serves as a testament to the power of determination and professionalism in the face of adversity.
On Wednesday, it was noticed that a regular host on Channel Seven’s The Morning Show was absent, and this occurred when it became public knowledge that the NSW Police were compelled to issue a protection order against him due to an overly zealous admirer.
Yet, it’s disclosed that the Seven network’s popular personality, Brad Sherwood, is not taking a break due to leisure but rather because he’s busy filming the upcoming season of his successful quiz show, The Chase Australia, during his scheduled hiatus.
The reliable sources close to the network confirmed to Daily Mail Australia that the energetic performer maintained a positive outlook, eager to continue his work uninterrupted with as few disruptions as possible.
Last Thursday, around 11:15 a.m., authorities from the New South Wales Police were summoned to Seven’s Eveleigh headquarters following an incident. A 52-year-old man from Victoria, Rodney Pearce, is said to have attempted to gain entry into the building, according to allegations.
Officers from the South Sydney Police Area Command arrived at the scene and conversed with a 52-year-old individual who had previously been removed from the premises by security personnel, as reported by the New South Wales Police Department.
Initially, Pearce was detained and rushed to the hospital for an evaluation. Following this examination, he was subsequently transported to the Surry Hills Police Station.
He was charged with trespass and possession of a prohibited drug.
At the Downing Centre Local Court, Pearce received a grant for conditional release, with his next court appearance scheduled for September 5th.
He must avoid going onto Central Avenue, located in the suburb of Haymarket, or approaching within 200 meters of Channel 7.
The 52-year-old has also been ordered to report to Redfern Police Station daily.
Court records show the AVO in protection of Emdur is set to be mentioned in court on September 16.
The arrest came just days after Emdur took the top gong at the 2024 Logies on August 18.
After four decades on the screen, the television personality finally took home the top award.
Network Seven did not comment as the matter is before the court.
