Alesha Dixon and her partner, Azuka Ononye, got back together again in April as they tried to mend their relationship after a short separation.

In November 2024, it became public knowledge that the television personality and her long-time companion, parents of Azura, 10, and Anaya, 4, decided to go their separate ways.

According to recent reports, it appears that a single, unanswered question may be the root cause of the couple’s turbulent period. Allegedly, Alesha has been hesitant to address this issue.

As a lifestyle expert, I find myself often reflecting on the complexities of relationships, and in this case, it seems that Azuka is grappling with the reality of Alesha’s decision not to marry him. This seemingly persistent issue between them has been a topic of discussion in various circles.

According to a friend, Azuka expressed his desire to marry Alesha and believes that taking this step could be the best course of action for their future together, given the events of the past six months. However, so far, Azuka’s proposal has not been accepted.

It’s a recurring disagreement, and Azuka struggles to let it go. Prideful by nature, he wishes Alesha would become his spouse. Likewise, his family has expressed the same sentiment, believing that marriage is the ideal path for them.

They’ve also added tension, causing disagreements between Alesha and Azuka. The last six months have been challenging, and it seems like another obstacle they find hard to overcome on their path.

Alesha has previously revealed she has refused Azuka’s proposal on many occasions.

In an interview with The Sun back in 2015, Alesha shared that AZ had proposed numerous times, yet she consistently declined his proposals.

In my heart, it feels as though he’s playfully bantering. Oh, if only he’d surprise me with a ring and a heartfelt proposal! The moment he does, I swear I’d respond with an immediate “Yes!” Marrying him is something I long for deeply.

According to those in the know, Azuka has made an official proposal after much deliberation, yet Alesha has been unyielding in her response.

The article mentions that Azuka appears puzzled as to why Alesha refuses to marry him, and this seeming impasse may be straining their bond.

It was reported in April that Alesha had confided to her friends that although they had separated, they were still cohabiting.

It seems living together might have given their relationship a second chance, according to The Sun’s report.

On the “Making A Scene” podcast featuring David Walliams and Matt Lucas, she hinted at a challenging period in her life but also expressed optimism, stating that she will overcome any hardships that may arise.

She expressed her feelings about his affair being exposed as follows: “I was utterly bewildered, feeling completely at sea. This predicament was entirely new to me. For quite some time, I indulged in self-pity.

After winning Strictly Come Dancing, I was twirled aloft towards the end. A shower of confetti rained down upon me. I glanced skyward, feeling a sense of reassurance that everything would be all right.

During that period, I sensed an uplifting force that significantly helped me persevere. It was a tough emotional journey, but having been part of Strictly Come Dancing allowed me to exist within a protective cocoon.
