In April of 2022, a woman from Maryland who is 36 years old and her husband, aged 65, ended their 7-year-long marriage, according to reports by TMZ based on their examination of legal documents from Wednesday.
As a lifestyle advisor, I’d put it this way: In 2014, I got married in May, and we were blessed with two lovely boys, Dean Michael Darby (age 5) and Dylan Matthew Darby (age 3). In our upcoming separation, we will be sharing custody of our precious sons as part of our divorce settlement.
Michael informed TMZ that he and Ashley, with their prenuptial contract serving as a foundation, have arrived at a mutually agreeable and equitable resolution.
On the Bravo show, the approaching legal separation between Ashley and her partner has frequently served as a significant plot point, with Ashley discussing this looming event numerous times.
After the news about their separation, Ashley left the home she shared with Michael and started dating Luke Gulbranson, who is known from Summer House, towards the end of 2022.
Ashley has stated that she is currently dating someone, but has not announced a new romance in public since her outing with Gulbranson, according to TMZ.
On “Watch What Happens Live” on Sunday, Ashley hinted that she would provide more specific information about the issue during the reunion show for the “Potomac” franchise.

Eight years ago, when Michael and I exchanged wedding vows, we dreamed of spending the rest of our lives side by side. Regrettably, life has taken a different turn for us. We’ve made the difficult decision to part ways.

Ashley mentioned that perhaps those earlier-mentioned elements influenced their deep affection for one another, yet no single factor served as the primary reason for both of us choosing to part ways independently.
Currently, we find ourselves at distinct points in our personal journeys with unique aspirations for our respective futures. Despite our deep-seated desire for each other’s contentment and success, we believe that it may not be possible to attain this mutual happiness within the same relationship.
Ashley shared, “Though our romantic relationship has ended, our affection and regard for one another will remain constant. We both understand that the truest form of joy lies in collaborating and pouring our love and spirit into nurturing our two wonderful sons, Dean and Dylan.
In simpler terms, ‘They will forever feel cherished and backed up, because they were born out of love. Since this is a private matter, we value everyone who has been with us along our path and kindly request your ongoing support by treating us with respect as we navigate through this challenging emotional period.’
In a heartfelt Instagram message, Ashley shared that it’s nearly eight enchanting years of wedded bliss she’s been enjoying.
13 years ago, they first crossed paths when she was employed at the L2 Lounge in Georgetown, Washington D.C. She inquired about internship opportunities at his company. In 2016, she mentioned this encounter to Bravo. Later, after securing a role within his company, she asked him out and they became engaged within just a short span of time.
In September of 2018, Michael, who operates restaurants and deals with real estate, was temporarily removed from the Bravo show following allegations made by a camera operator that he had inappropriately touched him.
Initially, he faced accusations for felony assault and inappropriate sexual behavior (misdemeanor), yet due to insufficient proof, these charges against him were ultimately dismissed.
Michael asserted that the accusations were unfounded, explaining to FOX 5 D.C. that he had been ‘entirely acquitted’ and ‘entirely vindicated’ after a probe conducted by officials.
He declared he wasn’t involved, further stating that the two individuals his accuser pointed out during the event claimed they didn’t witness anything either. It seems clear that his account of events was not accurate.
During the fourth season of RHOP, a sequence of incidents unfolded that formed the plot, as he was accused of making an inappropriate, sexually charged comment about cast member Robyn Dixon’s husband Juan Dixon. This allegation was reportedly observed by Robyn herself, co-star Candiace Dillard-Bassett, and her husband Chris Bassett.
