The Project’s original hosts Carrie Bickmore, Charlie Pickering and Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes set to return for final episode on Channel Ten
Originally featured personalities Carrie Bickmore, Charlie Pickering, and Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes will make their final appearance on the panel together.
Originally famed cast members from the humorous news program airing its last episode on Channel Ten this week are slated to reappear during the farewell broadcast on Friday. They bid adieu to almost sixteen years of “unconventional news delivery.
The grand farewell performance has been arranged to evoke strong emotions in long-term spectators through reminiscences, notable moments, and perhaps a few teary moments.
In addition, you can expect to see the current hosts of The Project: Waleed Aly, Sarah Harris, and Sam Taunton, as well as Georgie Tunny and frequent Friday guests Rove McManus and Susie Youssef on the roster.
As a lifestyle expert, I can share that it remains uncertain whether Hamish Macdonald will grace our screens during the concluding phase of the show, given his previously scheduled vacation. However, enthusiasts of this popular news program should expect to see several friendly and recognizable faces gracing our screens throughout the week instead.

On Monday evening, the panel will be graced by the return of Australian Paralympian Dylan Alcott and British comedian Ross Noble.
Comedian Rhys Nicholson is set to make an appearance on your screens tomorrow, while YouTube sensation Jimmy Rees will grace our TV screens during the evening of the following day.
On Thursday, Gorgi Coghlan and Pete Helliar are set to reappear as our special guests, while on Friday, we have the hilarious comedian and radio host, Tommy Little joining us.
It was revealed in June that The Project had been definitively cancelled and was set to broadcast its last episode on the 27th of the same month.
10 Network took to Facebook to express gratitude for viewer support, then announced the new show taking over its slot.
Since Carrie Bickmore stepped down as host at the end of 2022, causing a steep decline in ratings, the long-running news show (which boasts approximately 4,500 episodes) is set to conclude this coming Friday.
Earlier reports indicated that the review of The Project was concluding, with its cancellation scheduled for March 16.
Over the past 16 years, I can’t get enough of The Project – it’s my go-to for Australian news with a side of laughter!

‘Well, we have loved every second but all good things come to an end and so are we on June 27.
To all who’ve watched, shown support, made donations for Australian families, contributed behind-the-scenes, or simply liked a post – thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Replacing The Project on the nightly TV schedule is 10 News+.
Last week, Channel Ten gave a sneak peek at their new high-end news program through a short promotional video they published on social media.
In the video, hosts Denham Hitchcock and Amelia Brace pledge to provide ‘reliability and honesty’ and prioritize ‘honesty above all’ in their coverage of their new show, set to debut on Monday, June 30th at 6pm, following the evening news broadcast.
In a career spanning three decades as a traveling journalist, exploring every nook and cranny of the world, Hitchcock noted that two elements remain consistent throughout – trustworthiness and honesty.
Reporting on news events immerses you directly in the heart of the action, allowing you to witness history as it happens, according to Brace.
‘Now together, we’re bringing you 10 News+ at six from Monday, June 30,’ Hitchcock announced.
Brace provided a glimpse into the show’s content, revealing themes such as a political party in disarray, conflicts leading to turmoil, and legislation driving families to the edge of financial hardship.
‘If it affects your life, we will ask the tough questions,’ the pair promised.
