The Project’s Instagram page goes rogue as ‘bosses forget to change the password’ after the show’s axing
After Channel Ten unexpectedly canceled the long-standing news program, the Project’s Instagram account started behaving uncharacteristically.
I’ve been a devoted fan for over sixteen years, through the airing of more than 4,500 episodes, but on Friday, the program that had become such an integral part of my life came to an end. It’s hard to believe it’s gone now, but I’ll always cherish the memories we shared.
Although The Project has formally concluded, its Instagram account continues to be quite lively.
On Tuesday, a post poking fun at the Network Ten bosses was shared to social media.
‘The bosses really should have changed the password from Password1,’ it read.

Looks like the leadership has shifted to me – your favorite social media star!” or “Seems like it’s my turn to take the reins now, as the one you all know as the social media hero.
On the next day, another post was published on The Project’s social media platform with the caption: “Still postponed. Still eager.
‘I have nobody to share the silly news I see from around the world with,’ the caption read.
‘Should I go ahead and share the topics that catch my fancy or tickle my humor, even though there are also other matters to discuss?’
In my latest insights, I witnessed an intriguing scenario unfold during the recent tempest in Sydney – a woman was unexpectedly toppled by a colossal, wind-blown package. It serves as a timely reminder of the unpredictable nature of storms and the importance of being vigilant and prepared.
For barely a week off the air, we find ourselves reporting an unusual incident: a woman was accidentally hit by a falling refrigerator box. It’s hard to believe, isn’t it?
Or
After only a few days away from our broadcast, we’re sharing an extraordinary tale – a woman has been struck by a fridge box! Incredible, right?
Both options aim to convey the same information in a more engaging and conversational manner.
The Project was officially axed after 16 years last week, and aired its final episode on June 27.
It was replaced 10 News+ which failed to impress viewers following its debut on Monday night.

In the initial installment, there was an exploration into the matter of drug trafficking involving Melbourne resident Debbie Voulgaris, as well as a conversation with the Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese.
Not everyone liked what they saw however, with many sharing their thoughts on X.
One user commented, likening 10 News+ to A Current Affair by saying, “It’s just like ACA. They go to people’s homes for interviews and those people try to avoid the cameras.
Another viewer expressed their discontent, stating that they switched from ‘The Project’ to ‘Temu ACA’, apparently finding the former too depressing. They also criticized ’10news+’ in a negative manner.
In my opinion, this commercial feels more like a mashup of Channel 7 advertisements and the humorous satire from “Anchorman,” with those exaggerated “news” voices that leave me scratching my head. I can’t help but wonder why they chose such an approach when delivering their message.
A viewer at home inquired, “Is anyone else feeling a bit restless?” Meanwhile, another comment read, “Enough with the extensive investigative reports; it’s 6 pm now.
“This is boring and tasteless, it’s time to start anew with version 2.0 of our project and a primetime game show, competing directly with ‘Home and Away’. All the best!”
1. The user is expressing frustration that 10newsplus isn’t bringing back The Project TV, while another person questioned whether Denham Hitchcock is an AI or simply not very intelligent.
2. The first statement implies the user finds it inconvenient that 10newsplus hasn’t reinstated The Project TV, and the second statement suggests someone doubts if Denham Hitchcock is an artificial intelligence or just acting foolishly.
‘The spectator commented, “This looks more like a brief performance,” while another remarked, “It seemed like a satirical skit from the 1980s’ Comedy Company.” The final fist pump was met with a cringe.’
One fan expressed positivity by saying, “I’m really enjoying @10NewsPlus! I wonder if it’s a new Schapelle Corby story that everyone’s been waiting for. Keep up the great work, 10 News!
