The Project viewers stunned over Steve Price’s 90-year-old mum: ‘She looks younger than you’

Steve Price celebrated his 70th birthday with viewers of The Project on Monday.

However, the shock jock’s celebrations were upstaged by his mother Margo.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I was honored to be part of the studio audience today, witnessing The Project’s heartfelt tribute to Steve, marking his impressive 15-year journey with them. His mother, who graced the room, seemed to defy her 90 years, exuding a youthfulness that belied her age.

In a playful manner, his co-host Waleed Aly humorously commented, “It seems we all agree with Pricey that she appears more youthful than you.

Price appeared emotional following The Project’s presentation of a collection of clips commemorating his 15-year tenure on their panel show, which he referred to as his “90 years young” mother.

Price was moved to tears after watching a tribute on The Project.

Throughout that part of the show, Margo honored her long-time media professional son, whose impressive career stretches across more than four decades.

She remarked that he is extremely kind-hearted, unlike his television persona might suggest. At this point, Sarah Harris playfully asked if he was always moody like a young child.

‘No, no, always been wonderful,’ Margo responded.

At one point in the segment Price thank the show’s cast and crew.

He made a point to emphasize one important aspect – over the past fifteen years, I’ve been involved with The Project, working with young people both on and off camera, and that includes you three as my co-hosts.

‘As for those who preceded you, but experiencing this makes me feel as if I am not 70 years old, instead, I feel more like 55.’

This version retains the original meaning and is written in a natural, easy-to-read style.

Supporters flocked to The Project’s social platforms to send birthday wishes to Price, while numerous admirers praised his mother’s performance on the program.

One enthusiast wished, “Happy Birthday Steve Price! I hope your special day is filled with joy. Wishing you all the best. You and your mom both look fantastic!

‘I’m still getting over how AMAZING Steve’s mum looks!!!,’ messaged another user.

‘Omg his Mum!!!! Does not look her age!! Wow!’ said another astonished viewer.

Another fan added: ‘Happy birthday Pricey. Agree with everyone, what a stunner his mum is!’

During a recent discussion on their show, Sarah Harris, one of the co-hosts of The Project, shared her reasons for not donning G-string bikinis, joining in on the ongoing debate about such swimwear.

The television presenter, aged 43, openly shared her honest opinions about swimsuit fashions during a conversation about the pool-issued prohibition on these items.

Blue Mountains Leisure Centres, a division of the Blue Mountains City Council, stirred controversy by stating that thong-type underwear, specifically G-strings, are considered inappropriate at their facilities.

Regarding the contentious decision, Sarah expressed her stance, stating that she doesn’t object to individuals donning thong bikinis. However, she elucidated her reasons for choosing not to wear one personally.

She joked, “Oh, how I wish I could sport them! Yet, my behind seems to resemble a sack full of curdled cottage cheese. I guess, if one has it, they should show it off.

Sarah, the mother of seven-year-old Paul and five-year-old Harry (both sharing this parenting journey with her former spouse Tom Ward), didn’t shy away from addressing those who argue that G-string bikinis lack a family-friendly vibe.

Many people have asked, “What would the children think?”, but she clarified that she spends a considerable amount of time at the beach with her kids, and they are not paying attention to her actions.

In agreement with her feelings, Georgie Tunny expressed her puzzlement too, regarding the resistance some people show towards thong swimsuits.

She expressed indifference, stating, “I couldn’t care less about what people wear. If someone feels comfortable and self-assured in their choice, I’m completely fine with that. Honestly, I wish I could be as confident as you all are, but unfortunately, I’m not.

It’s forbidden to wear G-string style swimsuits at Katoomba Sports & Aquatic Centre, Springwood Aquatic & Fitness Centre, Blackheath Pool, and Glenbrook Swim Centre, which are all located in the Blue Mountains.

At the BMLC, it is suggested that you take a good shower before swimming, and appropriate swim attire should be worn.

‘Recognised swimwear does not include G-strings,’ the conditions add.

After some swimmers spotted a sign prohibiting ‘transparent swimsuits or bathing suits with minimal coverage,’ the council found themselves needing to clarify their rules, as this led to a bit of controversy.

Later on, the council explained online: “The picture labeled as ‘Revealing Swimwear/Thongs’ has caused a bit of confusion, it’s important to know that it doesn’t depict bikini tops and bottoms, but rather thongs and G-strings.

‘Bikinis are acceptable and considered recognised swimwear.’

A representative from the Blue Mountains City Council stated that the council’s policy on swimwear remains unchanged.
