The Pogues certainly are “disaster magnets” in the Outer Banks season 4 trailer! (Watch now)
As a gamer who has lived through countless adventures and narrative twists, I can’t help but feel a sense of familiarity when it comes to the Pogues’ latest escapade in Outer Banks Season 4. After what seemed like a well-deserved retirement, they’re back on another treasure hunt – Blackbeard’s this time! It’s almost as if they can’t seem to escape the allure of adventure and riches.
As a gamer, I thought the Pogue crew was set for a peaceful retirement after unearthing El Dorado and piling up a fortune in gold. It sure seemed like they’d have more than enough to live it up for the rest of their days. But boy, were we wrong! The trailer for Outer Banks season 4 part 1 just dropped, and it looks like they’re not done with adventure just yet.
The 10-episode season is divided into two halves: the first five episodes will air on October 10, 2024, while the remaining five will be released on November 7. In the upcoming season of the Netflix show, John B., Sarah, JJ, Kiara, Pope, and Cleo find themselves in a financial bind as their new bait, tackle, and charter tour business, Kildare County surf shop, is struggling to stay afloat. To address this issue, they embark on another quest – this time searching for Blackbeard’s treasure! It’s hard to understand how they managed to deplete their funds so rapidly within a year and a half.
It’s evident that with Poguelandia 2.0 and enjoyable moments on the horizon, there also lurk perils and undeniably, drama. As Shoupe points out in the video, this band of endearing teenagers are prone to disaster and somehow keep finding themselves in trouble. Despite their newfound fame following the discovery of gold, they’re being courted by others who want to utilize their skills, a situation they find themselves needing financially.
Although it seems they won’t have just one issue to deal with, as their home remains split between the Pogues and Kooks. Moreover, the troublesome duo of Rafe and Topper, two notorious Kooks, continue to be part of their circle, ensuring more drama. Indeed, they can’t seem to catch a moment’s peace! The upcoming treasure hunt will challenge them to scrutinize their past, present, and future and test their limits in the “G” game, as hinted by the synopsis.
In the fourth season of Outer Banks, Chase Stokes plays the role of John B., Madelyn Cline is Sarah, Madison Bailey portrays Kiara, Jonathan Daviss acts as Pope, Rudy Pankow takes on JJ, Carlacia Grant depicts Cleo, Drew Starkey performs as Rafe, Austin North appears as Topper, Fiona Palomo brings Sofia to life, and Cullen Moss is Shoupe. Joining the cast for the first time are J. Anthony Crane as Chandler Groff, Pollyanna McIntosh as Dalia, Brianna Brown as Hollis Robinson, Rigo Sanchez as Lightner, and Mia Challis as Ruthie.
Outer Banks season 4 part 1 premieres Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024 on Netflix.
