The Perfect 3 Candidates for The WWE Women’s Mid-card Titles
As a lifelong gamer and avid follower of WWE, I am thrilled at the prospect of additional women’s championships being introduced in the mid-card scene across Raw and SmackDown. The talent and dedication displayed by many of the women in the division have left fans yearning for more opportunities outside of the top stars. However, concerns about the quality of writing for these champions, specifically referencing the Queen of the Ring, persist.
The story continues to unfold with potential new women’s championships on the horizon, but a definitive launch date remains uncertain. Three promising candidates emerge as strong contenders for the WWE women’s mid-card titles across Raw and Smackdown. The dedication and exceptional performances of numerous women in the division have left fans yearning for more spotlight and title opportunities beyond the division’s top stars. However, lingering concerns from when the rumors began still persist. Even the Queen of the Ring serves as evidence that WWE could benefit from enhancing their writing for women outside of their world title scene. Should new belts indeed be introduced, who would be the first to wear them?
Zelina Vega deserves this run on Raw as champion.
As a dedicated fan of Raw and WWE, I can’t help but admire Zelina Vega’s charisma and skills in the ring. However, it’s frustrating to see her consistently being sent to main events only to lose without any proper build-up, which seems to happen around five months after WrestleMania. This pattern is disappointing since she often has a limited role during the grand spectacle of WrestleMania. By providing Vega with a consistent push towards the top, her appearances there would no longer feel like meaningless sacrifices but genuine opportunities for growth and success. Despite my hope that she becomes the women’s champion one day, even falling short would feel more rewarding if it came from a legitimate attempt rather than a predetermined outcome.
Throughout my entire life, people have told me that my height is a disadvantage. Today is no exception. However, there’s only so much proof one can provide here and there.

In the men’s wrestling division, several major figures often claim the US or Intercontinental championship titles early in their careers. This provides them with opportunities to be champions, gain victories, and create memorable moments and storylines. The competition between a champion and their challenger is an appealing narrative for fans, as it follows a clear and engaging plotline. If women’s wrestling had similar opportunities and well-defined mid-card feuds, Zelina Vega could become a shining star. By highlighting her skills through meaningful rivalries and securing genuine wins, she could be set up to seize the chance she has yet to be granted.
Chelsea Green has more than earned a title on Smackdown.
Has Chelsea Green outshone any other WWE star this year? The answer is yes, but Green’s success comes with a unique twist. Known for her comedic antics that sometimes put herself in the spotlight, Green has garnered significant fan adoration and acclaim. Her rise to stardom is so noteworthy that fans outside Toronto are eagerly anticipating her victory in the Women’s Money in the Bank match. While she didn’t clinch the win, her entertaining performance was a highlight for many.
The route we’re following is straightforward. Green could employ Niven as her right-hand woman to safeguard her championship title in a nod to wrestling legend Ted DiBiase from the Golden Age. Green can be the one to hype up matches, endure insults or humiliations to elicit crowd reaction, while Niven gets to shine in major bouts. Whenever Niven falls short against an opponent, Green takes over and defends her title. This narrative could span an entire year before Niven betrays Green. By then, both women would have gained ample ring time and experience to develop a compelling storyline between them. Eventually, Chelsea’s bid for the Ms. MITB (Money in the Bank) might stand a chance of making it through WWE’s creative filter.
Natalya is a “free agent” and the perfect choice for a mid-card division.
Based on initial information, it seems that a woman may soon hold both the United States and Intercontinental Championships in WWE. Although the current titles names don’t excite me much, having two instead of one opens up more opportunities. With just one mid-card title initially considered, having two world champions makes it challenging for other wrestlers to be seen as the division’s top star. However, Natalya, a free agent across various shows and a renowned performer from a legendary wrestling family, would make an excellent choice for the new champion if only one title is introduced.
Natalya’s durability is remarkable, making her an exceptional woman in WWE’s roster with unmatched tenure. Her ability to deliver impressive matches with up-and-coming talents in NXT underscores her versatility as a skilled performer. When the match begins, Natalya thrives and shines. To establish a mid-card division for women in WWE, which currently lacks substance, it’s crucial to have a trustworthy titleholder and capable contenders. With Natalya, you secure both: as a champion, she brings a rich legacy that continues to resonate, while her challengers benefit from the experience of working with her.
It could be hard to find more than three candidates for WWE’s mid-card titles.
As a longtime fan of professional wrestling and specifically WWE, I strongly believe that having a credible champion and solid challengers is the foundation for building a successful division. The women’s roster in WWE boasts an impressive array of talented performers capable of holding titles. However, there’s more to it than just having contenders; fan support plays a crucial role.
