The One Show viewers slam Billy Bob Thornton’s ‘odd’ new look as he wears TWO hats while appearing on the BBC show with co-star Jon Hamm
As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for fashion and a rich background in popular culture, I must say that Billy Bob Thornton’s unique headwear choice on The One Show left me slightly bewildered, yet intrigued. With over two decades in the spotlight, it is fascinating to see an actor like Thornton continue to push the boundaries of what is considered ‘normal’ in the fashion realm.
Viewers of The One Show found themselves puzzled by Billy Bob Thornton’s unusual new style following his visit to the BBC talk show on Thursday.
The actor, 69, was a guest on the show to chat about his role in the Paramount+ series Landman.
Accompanied by his fellow actor Jon Hamm, Billy attracted the audience’s notice with an intriguing style choice: seemingly donning two hats, leaving one spectator puzzled as they scarcely recognized him.
Viewers expressed puzzlement when conversing with X about the peculiar selection of headwear worn by the actor from Bad Santa. This ensemble consisted of a snug black beanie placed beneath a slightly askew brown fedora.

In the chat with Clara Amfo and Alex Jones, Billy shared insights about his starring position in the show “Landman,” set to premiere on Paramount+ on 18th November.
This show centers around the massive oil rush in Texas, highlighting how certain tycoons in the industry are willing to take extreme measures to preserve their immense fortunes.
In response to questions about his position, Billy stated that Landman essentially functions as a supervisor or team leader, overseeing everyone at the oil fields. His immediate superior is Jon.
In a world filled with peril, there’s immense responsibility to ensure everything unfolds safely. He carries the burden as if it were the entire globe on his shoulders.
Tommy possesses a witty disposition, yet he consistently feels the burden of constant stress, as John pointed out – this work revolves around extracting oil from the earth, and its impact on the people in your life, including your loved ones.
There is a character portraying my on-screen son, who harbors a desire to pursue acting. Inadvertently, his career choice seems to convey a message to our actual children: “Stay away from acting.” This profession is incredibly demanding and stressful.
Many believe that billionaires maintain their wealth forever, but in the world of oil, it’s more like taking risks, and it’s my responsibility to ensure he doesn’t continue his success.
In the show, Jon, who portrays the character Monty, whose spouse is Cami (played by Demi Moore), commented: “Throughout Texas, my character has been skillful in discovering and profiting from oil reserves, which brings an immense fortune.
However, it’s important to note that this option carries a significant level of risk… Consequently, you may find yourself encountering many individuals who are eager to engage in such activities.
As a lifestyle guide, navigating through the bustling intersection of various priorities can be quite challenging. It’s crucial to stay afloat amidst the tide of responsibilities.
Jon too took a moment to ponder over his latest role in the popular Apple TV+ series, The Morning Show. This opportunity allowed him to collaborate with his long-standing friend, Jennifer Aniston, for the first time.
He said: ‘Aniston is one of the all-timers she’s a lovely girl, it was a delight to be asked to be part of that show. Pretty much every single part of that job has been truly truly great.’
Additionally, Billy shared the story about how one of his memorable characters from the Christmas classic “Bad Santa” came to be. He confessed that initially, his manager had to persuade him to even think about taking on the part.
He said: ‘My manager talked me into that, he told me the story, and said ”that’s gonna be a career-ender!” then he sent me the script, I read a third of it and I said I’ve gotta do this.
Initially, we anticipated that it would perform well, assuming it would be considered amusing by many. However, upon reflection, we realized that numerous people might find it excessively grim. When it eventually gained notoriety, the backlash was quite unexpected.
At Christmas time, I watch exactly two films – ‘Love Actually’, a film that’s quite romantic, though it might not show my own romantic side; and then there’s ‘Bad Santa’. So, every Christmas, it’s either the ‘Love Actually’ crowd or the ‘Bad Santa’ bunch for me.
The One Show airs weekdays at 7pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
