The One Show isn’t on tonight – here’s when it will return

Viewers who eagerly anticipate watching The One Show might be disheartened to learn that it won’t air at its typical 7pm time tonight, as the BBC talk show is taking a brief summer vacation.

After a four-week interim, the revised schedule will conclude once “The One Show” resumes broadcasting on TV screens, which is scheduled for July 28th at 7pm.

Today on social media, BBC One’s program urged fans to “mark their calendars” or “schedule a reminder” for its return following the show’s extended summer hiatus.

Through a post on their official X handle, The One Show announced: “We’re taking our summer vacation! Join us again on the couch starting Monday, 28th July!

Apart from the image, the program also clarified its return to the usual 7 pm timeslot and confirmed that viewers can catch it on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

During the broadcast on Friday, host Alex Jones announced that the schedule change was made to accommodate certain sporting events such as Wimbledon and the UEFA Women’s Euro.

Alex mentioned that they will be off work for the following four weeks, returning on Monday, 28th July. During this time, you can look forward to events such as Wimbledon and the Euros.

The broadcasting of this year’s Wimbledon Tennis Championship kicks off tonight, July 1st, on BBC One. From then on, you can catch the daily coverage alternating between BBC One and BBC Two, with the telecast starting at 7pm each evening, until Sunday, July 13th.

Concurrently, both BBC and ITV will broadcast football matches, with a combined 16 games scheduled to air on BBC One and BBC Two. These shows will be presented by Gabby Logan, Jeanette Kwakye, and Alex Scott from The One Show.

The soccer match commences on 2nd July in Switzerland, and the final broadcast will air simultaneously on ITV and BBC on 27th July. This gives soccer enthusiasts the opportunity to choose between these two channels for viewing the game.

The One Show will return to BBC One on Monday 28 July at 7pm.
