The Old Man season 2 episode release schedule: How to tune in to the thrilling FX series
As a die-hard fan of The Old Man, I can’t contain my excitement! After what feels like an eternity of waiting, the second season is finally upon us. The delay due to the writers and actors strikes was tough, but hey, great art takes time, right?
It’s been a while since we last saw new episodes of “The Old Man” back in July 2022, but fans like us have certainly been patiently waiting! We weren’t surprised when it was renewed early. However, production on the second season faced delays due to writers and actors strikes that started in summer 2023. Now, it’s finally time for the series to make its grand comeback!
The second season of “The Old Man” airs tonight, September 12, 2024, starting at 10 p.m. ET on FX. Two episodes will be aired consecutively, so make sure to stay tuned after the first one ends! This is because episode 2 follows immediately afterwards. Following the premiere day, new episodes will be released weekly until the end of the 8-episode season. Episodes are also available on Hulu the following day. Here’s a look at the release schedule for the upcoming episodes:

We have the synopses of the first two episodes to get us geared up for what’s to come this evening! Poor Emily has a lot to unpack this season, that’s for sure. Season 2 episode 1, “VIII,” will see Dan and Harold arrive in Afghanistan to save Emily. And they “have to evade the Taliban” to do so, per the description. In the second season of “The Old Man”, Jeff Bridges portrays Dan Chase, John Lithgow takes on the role of Harold Harper, Alia Shawkat is Emily, Navid Negahban plays Faraz Hamzad, Jacqueline Antaramian acts as Khadija, Amy Brenneman assumes the character of Zoe McDonald, and Gbenga Akinnagbe portrays Julian Carson.
Tonight, on September 12, 2024 at 10 p.m. Eastern Time, the second season of “The Old Man” will start airing on FX. Two episodes will be aired consecutively. If you miss it, you can catch up on Hulu the following day.
