Nike Basketball is gradually reintroducing each of Kobe Bryant’s signature shoes, with whispers suggesting that the Kobe 3 Protro could be next. So far, no colorways for this model have been seen, but it seems that the Kobe 1 Protro will likely follow suit as the subsequent design to reappear, according to a report from zSneakerHeadz and Sneaker Files.
The initial reported color scheme for the Kobe 1 Protro shoe set to release is a revival of the “81 Points” edition, commemorating Kobe Bryant’s extraordinary 81-point game against the Toronto Raptors on January 22, 2006. This colorway resurfaced in the Kobe 1 Protro lineup in 2019 and was launched on the game’s 13th anniversary. Given that next year marks the 20th anniversary of this historic win, there is a possibility it will be released again on the same date. As for the 2026 version, it’s expected to retain its classic color combination of black, white, purple, and gold.
As of now, there’s no official word from the Nike Basketball team about bringing back the Kobe 1 Protro to store shelves next year. Keep an eye out for announcements, such as a sneak peek at the anticipated “81 Points” colorway, which we anticipate will be released next spring via Nike SNKRS and selected retailers.
