There’s a sense of poetic justice in this. However, to complete the circle, Orton must confront the beast he once was. To ensure he doesn’t blend into the congested lane, developing his character beyond just being a strong and fast wrestler will be beneficial for him. His physical prowess in the ring is evident to viewers, but showcasing his unique backstory and ambitions outside of wrestling can make for engaging television. If he expresses his dream of joining the WWE Hall of Fame or his goal to modernize WWE by eliminating the old guard, it adds depth to his character and sets him apart from other wrestlers who are just labeled as “a wrestler.” This differentiation is crucial in improving the current WWE product, which is otherwise quite popular.
