The Next Kingdom Come Game Is a Lot Closer Than You Think

It seems the next installment in Warhorse Studios’ Kingdom Come series is arriving sooner than many expected.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 came out in February 2025 and was very well-received. Because of this, many people thought it would be four or five years before a new game in the series was released.

The original Deliverance was released back in 2018, and it took Warhorse Studios seven years to develop and release its follow-up.

The developer says their next game is planned for release between April 2027 and March 2028. Given how long it usually takes to finish big-budget games, that’s a surprisingly fast development timeline.

In a recent livestream, community manager Tom Grey said fans won’t have to wait much longer for the next game.

“That’s the aim,” he continues.

We’re planning to continue work on Kingdom Come next year, which is great news. However, we currently don’t have a clear understanding of exactly what the project will involve.

This game might be a more focused experience, essentially built using the foundation of Deliverance 2, which would explain why it’s coming out so soon after.

Warhorse Studios has grown considerably in recent years. They expanded their team significantly to create Deliverance 2, their largest game to date, and have continued to bring on new employees since then.

Plus, they’re currently developing a game based on The Lord of the Rings. It’s a really exciting period for this company, which is quickly establishing itself as a major player in the industry.
