‘The Mummy’ Full Trailer Reveals More Plot Details

I was blown away by Lee Cronin’s work on Evil Dead Rise – it was so intense and really brought that franchise back to life! Now, he’s tackling The Mummy, and from what I’ve seen, it’s going to be something else. It looks like he’s bringing that same incredibly dark and scary style to it, making this ancient story truly terrifying with some seriously gruesome visuals and high stakes. I’m so excited to see what he does with it!

Cronin was also the writer for this new version of The Mummy. Warner Bros. even briefly titled it Lee Cronin’s The Mummy, potentially based on audience feedback from test screenings. This new title also helps differentiate it from other Mummy projects and highlights the work of a rising horror director. The film is produced by Blumhouse and Atomic Monster, with Jason Blum and James Wan overseeing the project. Jack Reynor, Laia Costa, May Calamawy, Natalie Grace, and Veronica Falcón star in the movie, and a new trailer has just been released following a first look in January.

The new trailer for Lee Cronin’s The Mummy, released on YouTube, begins with a family getting the news that their long-lost daughter has been located. But their relief quickly turns to fear when they discover she’s been missing for eight years and was found inside an ancient sarcophagus. Miraculously, she’s alive, though not doing well. When they bring her home to recover, things take a terrifying turn, as they realize they’ve brought something far more sinister into their house than just their daughter.

The short synopsis for Lee Cronin’s The Mummy reads:

A journalist’s daughter vanishes in the desert, and eight years later, her family is stunned when she unexpectedly reappears. However, this supposed happy reunion quickly becomes a terrifying ordeal.

This is a developing story with more to follow.
