The Most Underrated Cards in Clash Royale
In the game Clash Royale, there is a vast array of Cards to select from, making it difficult to decide. With each season update causing the meta to shift, certain Cards endure as essentials while others fall out of favor and become less popular or effective. At times, conforming to the trend and utilizing the most commonly used Cards may seem like your only option.
Yet, some underestimated cards are seldom utilized, but they have the potential to prove exceptionally strong, useful, and challenging to outmaneuver. Including them in your deck can provide substantial benefits and introduce an interesting twist.
5 of the Most Underrated Cards in Clash Royale
We’d like to draw attention to five underestimated cards in the game ‘Clash Royale’: The Ice Wizard, Goblin Hut, Royal Recruits, Flying Machine, and Royale Delivery.
The goal is to maintain the original meaning while making it sound more natural and easy to read.
Ice Wizard
In olden times, the Ice Wizard was a highly formidable defensive Card in Clash Royale because of its unique power to hinder enemy movement and attack rate. But over time, this Card has been replaced from most decks as the game’s current strategy favors low-cost, aggressive swarm decks that flood players with minions and goblins. Regrettably, these onslaughts can easily overpower the Ice Wizard, as his low attack power is insufficient to handle the multitude of enemies that are likely to be sent against him.
We think he still holds promise for returning to a prominent position within the Card group, particularly excelling in the intermediate trophy leagues. These levels often feature more expensive decks, less dependent on overwhelming opponents with large numbers of units.
Goblin Hut
It’s common knowledge that goblins hold dominance in Clash Royale! From the Goblin Barrel, Spear Goblins, and even the Goblin Cage, numerous goblin-themed cards have proven to be highly effective. Yet, this isn’t true for the Goblin Hut.
As a devoted fan, I must say, this Card isn’t cheap with a whopping five Elixir cost. Some may dismiss it for that reason alone. However, let me assure you, it’s not just about the price tag. This Card delivers a powerful punch, and when strategically placed behind your Princess towers, it can turn the tide of battle!
In certain strategies, Spear Goblins are commonly used cards, making them a mainstay. If you possess a structure that consistently produces these goblins, you’re in a strong position. Some competitive scenes prioritize swarm tactics, and the Goblin Hut has demonstrated its effectiveness as a swarm-creating tool.
Royal Recruits
As a passionate enthusiast, I can’t help but voice my concern about the Royal Recruits. Their unique, horizontally dispersed layout seems to be a point of contention for many players, as it diverges from the funnel-style play that has become the norm. Furthermore, the seven Elixir cost associated with them doesn’t seem to sit well with the community either.
Nonetheless, it’s hard to dispute that this Card is among the top defensive options in Clash Royale, as the recruits boast high hit points and an additional shield health similar to the popular choice, the Dark Prince. To enhance this Card’s skills, you can employ its Card Evolution process.
This card’s crucial feature is its horizontal deployment, which creates a distraction for opponents throughout the battlefield, giving you an opportunity to place your units and eliminate them more easily. It particularly excels when facing swarm-type decks.
Flying Machine
The Flying Mechanism has been making a bit of a comeback recently, although it remains relatively obscure at the lower tiers. This is a potent unit requiring four Elixir, and shares some resemblance with the widely used Shuriken Drone.
Contrary to the Dart Goblin, which can be easily targeted by ground-based swarms common in many game strategies, the Flying Machine is immune because it flies. As a result, you can use it effectively against groups of Hogs, Skeletons, and even Goblins that might otherwise overwhelm you on the ground.
It would be wise to position the Remote Aircraft behind more robust units, as it boasts a considerable range but its health is relatively low. This way, it can offer supportive fire from a distance.
Royal Delivery
The “Royal Delivery” offers both defensive and offensive advantages at merely 3 Elixir cost. Upon being placed on the field, it lands in a spot and inflicts moderate harm. Moreover, a Royal Recruit pops out of the container to disrupt and harm your opponents.
As a devoted player, I must admit that it’s not the ultimate choice when facing strong HP opponents, but it truly shines when positioned strategically before my main troop lineup. In the later phases of the game, especially against dense wave formations, it really comes into its own!
