The Most Controversial and Fun Zombie VR Game Gets Remade: Arizona Sunshine Remake Announced
As a long-time fan of Arizona Sunshine, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and nostalgia at the news of its remake. I remember the first time I played it back in 2016, the unique Spanish dubbing was a bit jarring, but it quickly grew on me, becoming one of the game’s most endearing quirks.
I’m thrilled to share that the iconic video game, Vertigo Games, renowned for its distinctive Spanish voice-overs, is coming back to life with a complete overhaul! This time around, you can immerse yourself in the experience on PC, PlayStation VR 2, and Meta Quest platforms.
In recent times, virtual reality video games have experienced a significant surge in popularity, even spawning cult classics like Arizona Sunshine. This action-packed zombie game stirred controversy in Spain due to an unusual dubbing, which surprisingly won over fans’ affections.
Following the triumph of Arizona Sunshine 2, its creators Vertigo Games have revealed that they are bringing back the original game with an updated version titled Arizona Sunshine Remake. This revamped edition is set to release for PC, PS VR2, and Meta Quest 2 and 3 starting October 17.
All the changes in Arizona Sunshine Remake
The Arizona Sunshine Remake is essentially a brand-new version of the initial release, meticulously reconstructed. This updated edition promises enhanced graphics and innovative visual improvements such as high-definition textures and lifelike environmental details, which are evident even in the debut trailer of the game.
Beyond this, we’ll introduce a collaborative multiplayer feature, enhancements to the weaponry and combat mechanics tailored for modern VR gear, offering a more refined experience compared to the original Arizona Sunshine. Additionally, a revamped dismemberment and gore system will be included, promising a grittier experience that hardcore fans will surely appreciate.
Instead of just the initial campaign, Arizona Sunshine Remake offers everything from the original game, including the Dead Man DLC, The Damned DLC, plus additional updates like the Old Mine, Trailer Park, and Undead Valley. All these extra content will be available starting on October 17.
What do you think of its return? Are you looking forward to annihilating zombies in Arizona again?
