The moment Ozzy Osbourne’s rarely-seen daughter Jessica revealed he’d become a granddad for the first time as she’s snubbed from family’s statement announcing his death
When it was disclosed that Ozzy Osbourne had become a grandparent for the first time, following his passing on Tuesday, his seldom-seen daughter Jessica made this known.
The lead singer of Black Sabbath was a father to six kids. Three of these children were born to him and his wife Sharon, while his younger offspring, Kelly and Jack, gained fame by featuring alongside him in the reality series, The Osbournes.
In addition to his own children with his first wife Thelma Riley, a son named Louis and a daughter called Jessica, Ozzy is also the adoptive father of Eliot, who was Thelma’s son from a previous relationship.
Notably, neither Jessica nor Eliot appeared among those who signed the family’s statement about Ozzy’s passing; instead, it was only Jack, Kelly, Aimee, Louis, and his wife Sharon who put their names to it.
Since her father’s passing, Jessica has become notably quiet and has mostly avoided public attention.
She was the one who initially made Ozzy become a grandpa, although she wasn’t featured on their TV series “The Osbournes.” However, her presence was acknowledged in the episode titled ‘Smells Like Teen Spirits,’ as it was revealed that she had given birth to a daughter, which Ozzy discovered.
In a segment broadcasted in 2002, Ozzy was informed that he’d receive a call from his son-in-law Ben once their child had been delivered.
The off-screen producer questioned Ozzy about whether the person was his daughter, to which Ozzy gave a nod in agreement. Later, Ozzy expressed his belief that he had expected the child to be a son instead.
The scene shifted to the following part, showing Ozzy sharing the news that his first granddaughter’s name is Isabelle.
In response to one of his daughter Kelly’s friends jesting about him being a “young grandfather,” he retorted, “Please don’t use those terms.
Jessica has two daughters, Isabelle and Kitty, and one son called Harry.
In his first marriage, Ozzy fathered three kids, while three more were born during his union with Sharon, which lasted until his passing.
In 1971, before my union with Sharon, I exchanged vows with my first wife, Thelma Riley, whom I met at a lively nightspot in Birmingham.
They graciously received Jessica and Louis as new additions, but the specific dates of their births remain uncertain.

Ozzy also adopted Thelma’s five-year-old son Elliot from a previous relationship.
Louis now works as a DJ and married actress Louise Lennon in 2004.
In 2004, they got married, but Ozzy was unfortunately unable to be there due to severe injuries he sustained from a quad bike accident earlier that year.
In the 2011 documentary film “God Bless Ozzy Osbourne,” produced by his son Jack, Ozzy himself admitted that he was unable to recall the birth dates of Louis and Jessica.
Louis also opened up about growing up with a drunk father.
‘When he was around and he wasn’t [drunk], he was a great father,’ he said in the documentary.
However, such incidents were not frequent. Instead, most of my recollections involve him under the influence, engaging in unpredictable behaviors. For instance, he’d drive vehicles across open fields and end up crashing them in the dead of night. Such occurrences were commonplace.
‘It’s not good for family life, really.’
Instead, Jessica remarked, “I can’t recall being put to bed, taking a bath, or any similar tasks performed by our father.
‘He didn’t show up for us on occasions like sports days, school trips, or parent-teacher meetings. In fact, he rarely demonstrated support in those ways.’
Following his divorce from Thelma, Osbourne remarried Sharon in 1982. Their first child together, a daughter named Aimee, was born on September 2, 1983.
Exactly a year after, they joyously added daughter Kelly to their family on the 27th of October, 1984, followed by the arrival of their son Jack on the 8th of November, 1985.
As a devotee, let me share my personal journey: I, Aimee (known musically as ARO), was born in the heart of London but spent my formative years in sunny California until the tender age of 16. However, as the cameras rolled for The Osbournes in the early 2000s, it was time for me to spread my wings and establish a new nest away from our family home.
Pondering over her choice to stay off the show, she expressed: “At that time, I was still navigating my identity amidst the turbulence of family dynamics. Therefore, it didn’t make sense for me to have that part of my life displayed on TV.
I felt the need to shield not just myself but also my family, who were all quite vulnerable and easily influenced at that time.
In 2008, she later justified her choice and said to The Independent: “I’m not a reclusive, anxious daughter who dreads the world and spends my days confined within my room.
Instead, I decided not to participate in the show. My ambition is to be a singer, and I believed that if I had continued with the Osbournes and performed throughout, I might have been quickly labeled and restricted in my career opportunities.
Sharon experienced pain, and there were certainly challenging moments filled with disagreements. I tend to be more introverted, and my personal life holds great value to me.
Apart from Aimee, there’s also a tense bond between her and her younger sister, Kelly. Four years back, Kelly openly admitted during an interview that they were no longer close, indicating their estrangement.
2021 saw Kelly appear on Dax Shepard’s podcast, Armchair Expert. During this conversation, she shared that they hardly communicate due to their significant differences.
‘She doesn’t understand me and I don’t understand her.’

In the year 2015, Aimee openly shared with The Independent that her relationship with Kelly wasn’t particularly warm, stating, “I wouldn’t describe our connection as easy, but there is an understanding. Do we spend time together socially? Not really.
In my perspective, the relationship between me and my sibling Aimee is exceptionally strong. We share the responsibility of managing our joint venture, Osbourne Media.
On Wednesday, it became known that a helicopter emergency medical service had been dispatched to Ozbourne’s expansive rural estate due to paramedics striving to preserve his life.
An air ambulance from the Thames Valley touched down in a nearby field near Welders House, a historic mansion belonging to a singer, at approximately 10:30 am on Tuesday morning.
It’s thought that phone calls originating from Welders House created a belief among the call handlers that the life of the Black Sabbath singer hung in the balance.
Or simply: Calls from Welders House made the call handlers think the Black Sabbath singer was critically ill.
A helicopter was sent out from the Thames Valley ambulance station situated at RAF Benson, in Wallingford, Oxfordshire – approximately 27 miles away from the manor house, which lies near the village of Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire.
The team had been up in the air for approximately 15 minutes before touching down on the estate of the mansion, where they spent about two hours with Mr. Osbourne, attempting and ultimately unable to revive him, as is known.
News of the helicopter drama is the first insight into the finer details of the singer’s death.
I, as a lifestyle expert, am deeply saddened to share the news that I personally received from the Osbourne family: the iconic Ozzy Osbourne, someone who touched many lives with his music and charisma, departed from us this morning. The sorrow in conveying this information surpasses simple words.
Here he is, gathered with his loved ones, basking in the warmth of affection. At present, we kindly request that everyone honors our family’s need for seclusion. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee, and Louis make up our family circle.
Earlier this year, it was disclosed by Ozzy that due to his prolonged struggle with Parkinson’s disease, he is now unable to walk.
Nevertheless, he successfully joined forces once more with Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi, and Bill Ward for their last performance of the month.
With concerns over his health due to past surgeries on his spine, Ozzy confessed that he was uncertain about whether to give a performance standing or seated.
The singer was in strict training, which even saw his blood pressure being taken 15 times a day.
He shared: ‘I’ve found a trainer who aims to help individuals restore their wellbeing. It’s quite challenging, but he’s confident he can succeed with my case. I’m pouring all my efforts into it.’
‘It’s endurance. The first thing that goes when you’re laid up is your stamina.
I get my blood pressure checked fifteen times daily, with a monitor attached to my finger. This device serves to indicate the state of my heart rate.
As a devoted admirer, I promise to give my all during what might be my last performance, having faced numerous health challenges over the past few years.
