The meanings behind David and Brooklyn Beckham’s 200 tattoos REVEALED – after nepo baby savagely covered up tribute to mum Victoria

Lately, the Beckham family has faced rumors about internal conflicts, specifically suggesting that Brooklyn has had disagreements with his parents concerning Nicola Peltz.

Many tattoos draw inspiration from their deep affection for family. For instance, David bears the names of his kids inked on his back, while a ’99’ is inscribed on one of his fingers, symbolizing the year Brooklyn was born and when he tied the knot with Victoria.

In 2019, self-confessed tattoo enthusiast, Brooklyn, displayed the phrase “mama’s boy” on his chest as a tribute to his designer mom.

Despite the persistent rift that has kept Brooklyn and his parents separated as a result of their ongoing dispute, a recent photo shoot for Glamour Magazine disclosed that Brooklyn opted to conceal the tattoo he had previously dedicated to Victoria in a more subtle manner.

Over the past year, a tiny pair of flower designs have been added to his existing inkwork, appearing to be yet another tattoo dedication to his spouse Nicola, making it the 71st or more such tribute among his extensive collection.

From my perspective as a lifestyle advisor, it appears that this family’s milestone moments are taking on deeper symbolism following the escalation of tension between the son and his parents. Regrettably, Brooklyn chose not to participate in any festivities surrounding David’s 50th birthday, which adds an extra layer of significance to their future interactions.

Victoria seems deeply saddened by the estrangement, as Brooklyn has started identifying himself as the one who acts like a devoted partner or spouse towards her.

Though I’ve concealed some of my tattoos that were inspired by my ‘Brooklyn mama’s boy’ past, an emblematic heart tattoo, honoring my beloved Spice Girl mom, remains visible on my left arm as a testament to our enduring bond.

As the ongoing rift within the Beckham clan continues, it’s intriguing to ponder how long their visible tattoos might stay exposed.

Now, TopMob takes a look at the meanings behind David and Brooklyn‘s many tattoos. 

David and Brooklyn – a story of the Beckham’s tattoos

In the mid-1990s, David became renowned as a soccer star, yet during the initial phases of his career with Manchester United, he remained without tattoos.

In that particular decade, it was late when he initially developed an interest in the field, with stories suggesting that he was motivated by Spice Girl Mel B’s partner at the time, Jimmy Gulzar.

In 1999, he created his initial piece of art, which celebrated the birth of his son, Brooklyn. Instead, he etched his son’s name onto his lower back using a traditional Gothic font for tattooing.

Afterward, a burst of artistic work ensued, with David returning to the studio about a year later for his famous guardian angel tattoo to be inked on the back of his neck.

The concept behind the angel suggested that its vigilance might extend to Brooklyn’s name, located lower along the star’s body.

That very same year, David made a commitment to his wife Victoria by getting a tattoo of her name inscribed in Hindi letters. Regrettably, as experts noted later on, the tribute unintentionally read as ‘Vihctoria’.

Following the arrival of their second child named Romeo in 2002, David made an update by inscribing his name above the figure of a guardian angel, who had been redesigned and adorned with magnificent wings.

Just a short while following the acquisition of Inter Miami, its owner decided to ink the number 7, a number he once donned at Manchester United, onto his inner forearm in Roman numerals as a tribute.

In the year 2003, he acquired two tattoos on his arms. The one on his left inner arm reads “I love and cherish” in Latin, while the one on his right bears the phrase “Spiritual Perfection.

Towards the end of that year, he marked his transition to Real Madrid by arranging for his tattoo artist, Louis Malloy, to craft a cross design on his back via air travel.

Lately, instead of creating artwork on his arms, he’s been focusing on his torso, one piece being a spiritual scene showing Jesus being borne by three cherubs, symbolizing him and his three sons.

As a devoted admirer, I’d like to share that I too bear a visual narrative – a scene of a woman in a forest on my right chest, and an image of Jesus nestled beneath my ribcage, which I incorporated back in 2010.

The picture is inspired by a work known as “The Man Of Sorrows,” painted by Catholic artist Matthew R. Brooks. It’s thought to be another heartfelt homage to his late grandfather, Joe, who sadly passed away at the age of 83 the previous year.

In a conversation about his design choices, the renowned figure shared this insight: ‘My designs are a tribute to those significant individuals in my life, whom I wish to keep close forever.’

Brooklyn, Cruz and Romeo visited a tattoo studio together in 2023 to mark their special bond. 

The trio each had the word ‘Brotherhood’ inked on different parts of their body.

Among the trio, the oldest one decided to place his fresh tattoo on his thigh, over the design of a lady dancing, whereas Romeo selected a location on his thigh, above his eagle artwork; meanwhile, Cruz opted for a spot on his hand for his new ink.

A hopeful chef from Brooklyn, undoubtedly influenced by his renowned family member, displayed his extensive culinary collection during a radiant vacation in Saint Tropez alongside his wife Nicola last year’s summer season.

Ever since getting his first tattoo in 2017, this acknowledged tattoo enthusiast has accumulated more than 70 designs honoring his wealthy spouse.

As a lifestyle aficionado, I find myself a living testament to my admiration for Nicola in Brooklyn. Her likeness graces my upper arm, while her captivating gaze is etched at the nape of my neck. And to top it all off, her name serves as an enduring tribute close by.

Instead of merely displaying her likeness, Brooklyn has inked their wedding vows onto his arm, with the heartfelt words stating: “Nicola, as you walked down the aisle, you stole my breath, looking stunningly beautiful not just that night, but every night.

To begin with, allow me to express that no words can fully capture the depth of my affection for you. Merely gazing upon you, I envision my future and it seems surreal, as if it were a beautiful dream.

‘You are my world and I continue to fall more in love with you every single day.’

Brooklyn carries both the affectionate nickname ‘Buster’, bestowed upon him by his father, and an emblem to pay tribute to English soccer icon, David.

He has too found room on his physique for his mother-in-law Claudia’s rosary beads.

Brooklyn chose to adopt a combination of his and his wife’s last names, which he had written on his abdomen, following their marriage.

In his own words, he expressed that the decision was his, driven by a desire to pay tribute to her family’s surname as well. He envisioned that in the future, when they might have children, it would be adorable to see mini Peltz-Beckhams playing around.

On his torso, Brooklyn got the prayer of Gina inscribed, which said: “Stay mindful of the present, genuine with others, and confident within oneself; remember, failure is not an option.

Additionally, above Gina’s prayer, there is a tattoo that reads DVBRCH. These initials represent his family members: David, Victoria, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper.

Brooklyn was living it up on a boat with his in-laws when he was pictured with his tattoos on show.

The celebrity was seen launching himself into the water before indulging in a spot of water sports.

Regarding his tattoos, the ambitious photographer-chef expressed: “I find them incredibly captivating. When you deeply care for someone, it feels like you want to express that affection everywhere. She means everything to me. My aim is always to bring joy to her. That’s what I strive for.

Romeo sports an assortment of tattoos; among them are a ‘free soul’ design and a big dove inscribed with the phrase: ‘Guide with love,’ on his wrist.

Additionally, there’s a stone sculpture of an angel, similar in size to his forearm, accompanied by a tattoo representing ‘the freedom to dream’ on his chest area.

Additionally, he bears the word ‘love’ spelled out on his fingers, and sports a duplicate of the iconic winged cross made by Michelangelo around his neck.

This year, Cruz proudly displayed his new tattoo which features a design of a record player on his arm, following the addition of it.

He took to his Instagram Stories to share a picture of his body art after he went under the needle.

In the image, Cruz was clearly displaying an intricate tattoo on his arm, depicting a turntable and a record player with its lid ajar.

Afterward, David and Victoria’s youngest son unveiled a brief peek of his new tattoo studio experience.

In an Instagram post, Cruz was pictured reclining with a playful pair of lavender shades on, looking sideways towards the camera.

The tattoo artist seemed deep in concentration as he got to work on Cruz’s arm.
