As a seasoned Star Wars enthusiast with memories of watching the original trilogy on VHS tapes, I can’t help but feel a wave of nostalgia upon hearing about the upcoming SteelBook Collector’s Editions of The Mandalorian Season 3 and Ahsoka Season 1. The thought of owning these masterpieces in 4K Ultra HD Dolby Vision is almost too good to be true!
In line with previous seasons, Season 3 of “The Mandalorian” is set to debut in high definition (4K Ultra HD) as a SteelBook Collector’s Edition. Similarly, Season 1 of “Ahsoka” will also be released. Both can be yours ahead of the holiday season on December 3.
Through StarWars.com, we’re excited to announce that this Collector’s Edition features fresh cover artwork by renowned artist Attila Szarka, who has also created bonus materials such as concept art cards for the launch. These additional items will be available in stunning 4K Ultra HD Dolby Vision quality. You can pre-order them on October 31st.
The Mandalorian Season 3
Delving into the unique aspects, you’ll find three standout points for the third season of “The Mandalorian”. The first is a heartfelt homage to the late Carl Weathers. Entitled “In Memory of the Magistrate”, showrunners Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni will reflect on his role as Greef Karga, paying tribute to his impact on the series.
If Star Wars’ alien and droid designs are something you adore, then this special feature is tailored just for you! Dive into “Galactic Legacy: The Creatures and Droids of The Mandalorian” as artists share their creative journey in breathing life into the droids and creatures that populate Season 3 of the series.
Ultimately, “Forging the Covert” will bring together the showrunners and other filmmakers associated with the series to delve into the lives of various Mandalorians featured during the season.
Ahsoka Season 1
As an eager admirer, I can’t help but share my excitement about the special edition of Ahsoka! This isn’t just any version; it comes packed with four exclusive extras that every fan like me would cherish. The first one, titled “Ahsoka: Legacy,” promises a fascinating journey behind the scenes. It will take us on an in-depth exploration of how this series was brought to life, from the initial animation stages all the way to live-action. Can’t wait to dive in!
For enthusiasts of the prequel trilogy and “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” “Path of the Apprentice” is undeniably a can’t-miss spectacle. This production delves into the intricate bond between Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker, focusing significantly on their connection within The World Between Worlds.
If Star Wars Rebels isn’t part of your galaxy adventures yet, “Ghosts of the Past” is a must-watch! This episode offers an immersive exploration into the lives of Hera Syndulla, Sabine Wren, Ezra Bridger, and Chopper – the Ghost crew members you’ll grow to love!
Finally, “Darkness Rising” gets into the baddies of the series.
