Fans are still talking about the new trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu, and one observant viewer noticed a really touching detail that might make you tear up.
The new trailer, released today, offers fans a better view of Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin and Grogu, alongside several new faces – including Jeremy Allen White playing Rotta the Hutt and Sigourney Weaver as Colonel Ward.
A fan noticed a sweet tribute to Carl Weathers in the latest trailer for The Mandalorian. Weathers, who played Greef Karga for three seasons, passed away in February 2024.

Following the news of Carl Weathers’ passing, Sylvester Stallone, his co-star in the Rocky movies, shared a heartfelt tribute. He wrote that Weathers was a legend and that meeting him had profoundly improved his life, ending with a message to ‘rest in power and keep punching’.
The trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu surprised fans with an appearance by Embo, a bounty hunter from the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. This marks the first time the character has appeared in live-action.
Jon Favreau, the creator of The Mandalorian series, will direct The Mandalorian and Grogu. He co-wrote the script with Dave Filoni, who leads Lucasfilm.
I’m so excited for the new season of The Mandalorian! It looks like Din Djarin and Grogu are going to be helping the New Republic fight off the last of the bad guys from the Empire. Basically, they’re going to be defending the galaxy again, and I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds!
The Mandalorian and Grogu is released in cinemas on 22 May 2026.
