Based on the popular children’s books by Enid Blyton, The Magic Faraway Tree tells the story of a family who discover a magical tree close to their new home in the countryside. This leads them on incredible adventures. The series consists of four books – The Enchanted Wood, The Magic Faraway Tree, The Folk of the Faraway Tree, and Up the Faraway Tree – which were originally published between 1939 and 1951.
Luke Millington-Drake, an actor and writer known for playing “Birthday Elf #3” in The Magic Faraway Tree, shared a new movie poster on Instagram this Tuesday. The film also stars Claire Foy (from The Crown), Nicola Coughlan (Bridgerton), Nonso Anozie (Sweet Tooth), and Jennifer Saunders (Shrek 2), and the poster gives a glimpse of all their characters. You can see the poster below.
The Magic Faraway Tree will release in theaters on March 27, 2026.
