The Lunar New Year comes with the Charm of the Snakes treasure

With the arrival of the Year of the Snake, Valve unveils the Charm of the Snake treasure, boasting some delightfully sharp Dota 2 accessories.

On January 29, 2025, marked the beginning of the Lunar New Year, or the Chinese New Year, as it’s also known. This year is symbolized by the snake according to the Chinese lunisolar calendar. In line with this, Valve has introduced a fresh themed treasure into Dota 2. As we anticipate the conclusion of Crownfall and the arrival of a new update, the Charm of the Snakes treasure offers an opportunity to get an exceptional Necrophos set and other rewards.

Opening a can of worms or a Charm of the Snakes

The latest Snake Treasure charm collection offers a grand total of nine fresh themes centered around our scaly friends, you’ve probably figured it out by now. Heroes like Medusa, Naga Siren, and Shadow Shaman are part of the lineup, but we can’t find fault with the rest because these skins truly shine!

The full list of sets available in the Charms of the Snake treasure are:

  • Shadow Shaman – Q’uq’umatz Charmer
  • Naga Siren – Call of the Coral Cultist
  • Templar Assassin – Psionic Constrictor
  • Medusa – Obsidian Ophis
  • Earth Spirit – Slithering Stone
  • Snapfire – Madam Mamba
  • Razor – Arc Adder
  • Lich Cobra-Ka (Rare)
  • Necrophos – Serpent’s Spite (Very Rare)

As a gamer, I’m excited to share that each treasure box is priced at $2.49, and with luck on my side, I could grab both the elusive Lich set and the ultra-rare Necrophos set! The Lunar New Year is in full swing, and these sets perfectly embody the serpentine spirit within us, although the ultra-rare one truly stands out as the epitome of stylish gaming.

As the final week of Crownfall approaches, here’s a small treat to keep you going until we potentially receive a fresh update for Dota 2 at that time.
