The lowest ranked episode of Star Trek: Voyager, according to IMDB, isn’t Threshold
As a gamer with a soft spot for sci-fi and a penchant for digging deep into the intricacies of TV shows, I’ve sailed through the vast cosmic ocean that is Star Trek: Voyager. The series has been my constant companion during late-night gaming sessions, providing me with a much-needed break from pixelated galaxies.
Star Trek: Voyager blazed a trail uncharted by any other series before or since when it introduced “Threshold” during its second season. Although I didn’t share the same level of disdain as many fans, there were certainly plenty who struggled with Tom Paris [Robert Duncan McNeill] and Captain Janeway [Kate Mulgrew] transforming into giant lizards. Paris went on to abduct Janeway, transporting her to another planet where they bred lizard offspring that were ultimately abandoned on the planet once Paris and Janeway were rescued by Voyager. While I found some positive aspects in this episode, I can appreciate why it might have received lower ratings.
Hey there fellow gamers! I’ve got an intriguing tidbit about one of my favorite shows, Star Trek: Voyager. According to the Internet Movie Database [IMDB], the episode “Threshold” is ranked two points higher than the worst-rated episode, “The Fight.” Now here’s where it gets interesting!
It’s hard to believe that an episode featuring hallucinations and boxing would be ranked worse than one where Paris and Janeway transform into some kind of giant amphibians. However, that’s just how it is. I personally didn’t mind “The Fight” too much compared to other episodes in the series, but the ratings on IMDB don’t lie, and it seems many fans still can’t get over the whole lizard thing.
