As a seasoned adventurer who has journeyed through the perilous lands of Middle-earth more times than I can count, the announcement of The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria for Xbox Series X|S and PC is music to my weary ears! After countless hours spent exploring the vast expanses of Mordor and battling the forces of darkness on my trusty PS5, it’s time for a return to the heart of dwarven culture – Moria.
Today, indie studio Free Range Games is unveiling the availability of “The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria” on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC platforms. This release comes after its debut on PlayStation 5 last December.
During the Fourth Era of Middle-earth, the game titled “Return to Moria” allows up to 8 players from any platform to team up. Additionally, it introduces a flexible, open-ended Sandbox mode, along with numerous enhancements provided by the latest update known as The Golden Update.
As an enthusiast, here’s my take on the changes: I’m thrilled about the addition of fresh weaponry and armor sets, over a hundred versatile building components and embellishments, enhanced construction mechanics, the option to momentarily halt gameplay in single-player mode, captivating background music, upgraded difficulty settings, and numerous bug fixes and additional enhancements.
Today, you can get your hands on “The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria” for Xbox Series X|S and PC, voiced by John Rhys-Davies, priced at $24.99. In this game, you’ll join forces with other dwarves to retrieve treasures once lost within the mines that bear the same name.
