The Lexus ES 350e Features Rolls-Royce Luxury at 1/10th of the Price

Lexus is challenging traditional expectations in the car industry with its new ES sedan. While luxury cars usually come with a high price tag, the ES offers surprisingly upscale features at a more affordable cost.

Lexus hosted us in San Diego to test drive the latest ES models – the 350e, 350h, and 500e. The car has a sleek, modern design both inside and out, with a simple, tech-forward interior. It’s not overly flashy, but those who appreciate quality cars will definitely notice. We’re glad to see sedans making a comeback – we prefer them to SUVs – and it’s great that the ES is back for its eighth generation.

The interior of the ES 350e Luxury trim showcases exceptional craftsmanship, a hallmark of Japanese design. Comfortable semi-aniline leather seats are complemented by customizable ambient lighting and a unique Bamboo Layering design, which uses illuminated bamboo wood trim on the doors and center console. A powerful 1,800-watt Mark Levinson sound system with 17 speakers delivers a rich, immersive audio experience throughout the cabin, featuring deep bass and clear mid-range tones.

Honestly, the best part of this car has to be the optional Executive Package. It completely changes the back seat into a seriously luxurious space. I got to sit back there, and wow, it’s amazing how much comfort they packed into a mid-sized sedan! The rear seat on one side adjusts in four ways with a recline and even has a little footrest that pops out. Everything is controlled electronically right in the armrest – it can even move the front passenger seat forward and lower their headrest! And it’s not just for one person either – both rear seats get heating, cooling, super comfy headrests, and their own massage functions. It’s a really special experience back there.

The 2026 Lexus ES 350e Luxury, with the Executive Package, cost $63,770. While it’s a big difference comparing a Lexus to a Rolls-Royce, we were impressed by the level of comfort the Lexus offered, especially for rear passengers. Considering a Rolls-Royce Phantom of the same caliber costs around $650,000, the Lexus provided a remarkably similar experience for about one-tenth of the price.
