The Last of Us season 2 will address one specific fan “critique,” according to star
Actor Gabriel Luna, known for his role in “The Last of Us,” hinted that the second season would offer an aspect of the show that was not present during its first season, to the delight of viewers.
In a response to comparisons between the emotional highlights of Season Two versus Season One, featuring the critically acclaimed ‘Bill and Frank’ episode, the actor portraying Tommy indicated that one specific criticism will be tackled in the upcoming episodes.
In a one-on-one conversation with Digital Spy, Luna expressed that the plan was to surpass the benchmark you established, as well as the one Craig [Mazin], Neil [Druckmann] and their entire team had set. This bar was set particularly high.
What to Read Next
[The initial season] garnered positive responses, but some constructive feedback on the first season was about the lack of action sequences from the game. In this new season, we’re delivering a significant amount of those thrilling moments that players experienced within the storyline.
In season two, we see the long-awaited blossoming relationship between Ellie, portrayed by Bella Ramsey, and Dina, played by Isabela Merced.
As a dedicated admirer, I shared my anticipation for delving deeper into their romantic journey in earlier discussions. Speaking with Digital Spy recently, I couldn’t help but share tantalizing hints about the exciting revelations that lie ahead.
It seems that Ellie has feelings for Dina, and she’s subtly exploring these emotions without wanting to risk getting hurt.
It seems a little daunting for her, but this connection has the potential to flourish beautifully. Dina helps to rekindle some spark in Ellie, and it’s quite fascinating.
Ramsey explained the significance of the first kiss between Dina and Ellie in that episode: “I believe it was a complex moment for Ellie. Dina was clearly intoxicated, and Ellie was questioning, ‘Is this genuine? This means a great deal to me. I’m not sure if it means as much to you.’
As a fan, I can empathize with the desire for consistency, as I too want her interpretation to align perfectly with Dina’s, since I believe any discrepancy could potentially stir up some apprehension and tension.
In conversation with Digital Spy, Merced mentioned: “Dina serves as a kind of comedic relief, not just for Ellie, but also for the residents of Jackson, Wyoming.
I believe there’s a hidden depth to her, as her apparent carefree nature might be concealing it. However, her joy and spontaneity could be a disguise, and I’m intrigued to uncover this side of her and witness how her bond with Ellie evolves.
I’m thrilled to share that as a fan, I can’t wait for the next season of “The Last of Us”! In the UK, you can catch it every Monday at 2am and 9pm on Sky Atlantic. If you miss those times, don’t worry, you can stream it on NOW too. For our friends across the pond in the US, it airs on HBO. Enjoy the journey!
