The Last Drive-In brings Christmas Carnage on Friday the 13th with new special
As a seasoned gamer and horror aficionado with a soft spot for Joe Bob’s Drive-In, I can barely contain my excitement for this year’s Christmas special, “Joe Bob’s Christmas Carnage.” With Darcy the Mail Girl by his side, Joe Bob has been delivering holiday horrors that never fail to thrill and chill me to the bone.
Joe Bob Briggs, Darcy the Mail Girl, and the team behind The Last Drive-In are spreading holiday cheer with a fresh Christmas special titled Joe Bob’s Christmas Carnage. This festive event will make its premiere on Shudder TV and AMC+ TV at 9:00 p.m. ET on Friday, December 13. For those who miss the live broadcast, the special will be accessible on demand on Shudder and AMC+ starting Sunday, December 15.
The event will feature two movies labeled as “seasonal horror films” in the press release, reassuring those who feared JB might opt for non-Christmas themed films like he did in 2018 and 2021. After all, it’s no secret that our beloved drive-in movie critic enjoys keeping us guessing!
In 2018, “The Last Drive-In” holiday special premiered on Shudder for the first time, and a fresh one is released annually in December. Among the movies screened throughout the years are titles such as “Black Christmas”, “Silent Night Deadly Night Part Two”, “Christmas Evil”, and “A Christmas Horror Story”.
Similar to previous years, this Christmas special will link with a charity auction featuring items from our series. Joe Bob and Darcy will offer props and merchandise, along with some unique pieces from their series collection. Additionally, several of Joe Bob’s personal mementos, amassed throughout his 35-year career, will be available for bidding. The specific films and auction items will be revealed during the live special itself.
Joe Bob’s Christmas Carnage will benefit four different charities
As you eagerly anticipate the arrival of the special, let’s explore the charities that will receive support through the auction during Joe Bob’s Christmas Carnage:
The Pacific Marine Mammal Center is a hospital that specializes in the care of marine mammals. On their website, they describe themselves as being at the forefront of veterinary research, STEM education, and ocean conservation efforts. They look after various species such as California Sea Lions, Northern Elephant Seals, Pacific Harbor Seals, and Northern Fur Seals.
The admirable Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation offers academic scholarships and counseling services specifically to children who tragically lost their parents during active military service. On average, they grant scholarship aid amounting to around $6,250 per year.
As a devoted supporter, I can’t help but express my admiration for Family Promise – an organization that has been making a significant difference in the lives of homeless families for three decades now. Their unwavering commitment is to guide these families towards stability and self-reliance, providing them with the tools they need to break free from homelessness and build a brighter future.
Foundation Focused on Ending Breast Cancer” – The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, being the largest public supporter of breast cancer research, is dedicated to the belief that thorough research could potentially eradicate breast cancer permanently. By the year 2024, it’s projected that over 310,720 women will have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
