The International 2024 brackets: Match-ups and seeding results

As a seasoned Dota 2 enthusiast, I can’t help but feel the adrenaline coursing through my veins as The International 2024 brackets are finally set! The unique format this year has certainly shaken things up and kept us on our toes. The seeding decider matches were a rollercoaster of emotions, with some teams surprising us and others leaving us wanting more.

The International 2024 brackets are ready! See who your favorite team will be facing next.

2024’s International tournament introduces a revamped structure, culminating in playoff brackets. In this new system, all teams initially participate in a Group Stage without the risk of elimination. The top two teams from each group then compete against the bottom two teams from the following group, which we call “seeding decider” matches, with no risk of elimination. Thus, after three days of the tournament, no team has been eliminated.

Now that the bracket pairings are set, it means four teams will get eliminated once the lower bracket matches commence. This decision was made by the organizers following the completion of eight seeding decider games, which were played in a best-of-three series format.

  • After not being able to win a single Group Stage game, beastcoast took one game from Team Falcons. Unfortunately, this wasn’t enough for them to reach The International 2024’s Upper Brackets.
  • Team Zero started the Group Stage strong, tieing their series against Team Falcons and beating BB with a 2-0. But, against all odds, they lost to Aurora, a team that has not been so convincing during TI.
  • The biggest upset of the Road to TI stage happened after nouns beat Team Spirit by 2-0. They achieved this by playing almost the exact same draft on both games.

After three intense days of gaming, we’ve reached a crucial point in TI13. The placement games have come to an end, which means that four teams will be packing their bags on September 9th. This is right before the first round of the Upper Brackets begins. It’s going to be a tough goodbye for some, but only the strongest move on.
