Over time, Jennifer Aniston has experienced a variety of romantic relationships and heartaches, including her turbulent separation from initial spouse Brad Pitt, followed by her later divorce from actor Justin Theroux.

It appears that the Hollywood actress, aged 56, might be venturing into romance again, following speculation of a budding relationship with fitness guru Jim Curtis, after they were spotted enjoying a getaway in Mallorca over the weekend.

However, Curtis, currently known as a ‘transformational life coach and hypnotherapist’, didn’t follow this inspiring path from the start.

Eight years ago, at the age of 49, Curtis openly shared his longstanding battle against debilitating chronic pain and the embarrassment he experienced due to a string of unsuccessful relationships.

In his 2017 book titled “The Stimulati Experience”, the author, who is a single parent, shares his harrowing experiences with excruciating nerve pain and the various healthcare professionals (and spiritual healers) he met during his quest for healing, which he refers to as his ‘stimulati’.

In one part, he details a challenging phase in his existence where he found himself devoid of significant connections and instead had a series of new partners approximately every three months.

He expresses a desire for a stronger bond with his son, as the boy spends most of his time living with his mom, and he’s currently upset with him. This is mentioned in a particularly striking way.

Then another:

My sibling can be quite intense, making life challenging for me, as it often feels overwhelming. Additionally, I find myself growing tired of romantic relationships due to losing interest quickly.

In other parts of the book, the author from Massachusetts describes his previous relationship with a lady he nicknamed ‘Lucy Lou’, whom he also referred to as his ‘weakness’.

He had purchased an engagement ring with the intention of proposing, as he shared, but unfortunately, their relationship eventually fell apart.

‘We first met while self-helping at a leadership course in New York City,’ he writes.

I vividly recall the initial instance when our eyes met: For a brief moment, my thoughts vanished, captivated by her. An irresistible pull seemed to bind us together, hinting at a destiny greater than ourselves, which indeed it was.

Over the six-month training period, we grew incredibly close and provided mutual support. Following this, our bond deepened, and we found ourselves in a romantic relationship. Her absence in my life is unimaginable, and contemplating it generates feelings of unease.

He was so in love, however, that he says he ignored the red flags and ‘glaring issues’.

Apart from acknowledging his actions, he confesses that during their separation, he secretly monitored both his girlfriend and her new boyfriend on Facebook. This led him to feel unworthy and inadequate about the loss of the relationship, which then turned into self-condemnation not only for the relationship’s end but also for his act of Facebook stalking them.

Currently, Curtis deals with his feelings of inadequacy by jotting down his ’embarrassing experiences’ onto small scraps of paper, which he then burns in solitude within his bedroom.

However, despite the frequent discussions about his peculiar worries, it appears that Curtis has matured over time, largely due to the assistance he received from his ‘boosters.’

Currently, his social media platform abounds with uplifting sayings and affirmations aimed at assisting others in overcoming their past and recurring behaviors, ultimately helping them discover love. He manages to earn a prosperous income from this venture.

Apart from having approximately 550,000 followers on Instagram, it’s also worth mentioning that Aniston herself has followed Curtis on the platform for close to two years.

In November 2023, she expressed approval for one of his posts, which stated: ‘Is it more advantageous to find contentment or remain single? The key is cultivating significant relationships. Studies demonstrate that interpersonal connections greatly contribute to happiness. Therefore, avoid compromising in your romantic pursuits, and also refrain from solitude.’

Just last week, it was noticed that Aniston had liked one of Curtis’s recent posts discussing recovery from a divorce.

On their excursion, Aniston, visibly content and carefree, warmly welcomed Curtis by presenting him to her dear friends, the actor Jason Bateman and his spouse Amanda Anka. Following this, they all delighted in a lively yacht celebration together.

It’s not the first time the rumored couple have stepped out in public. 

A little over a month ago, Aniston and Curtis were observed at the exclusive Ventana Big Sur hotel, located in Northern California. In fact, The Daily Mail reported that the duo showed affectionate behavior and were caught on camera showing tender moments at the restaurant within the hotel.

In April, Curtis subtly suggested a romantic connection between them when he added a heart symbol as a comment on Aniston’s Instagram video showcasing her well-toned physique during exercise.

In the same month, Aniston subtly suggested an increasing connection between them by disclosing that overcoming her fear of flying involved the use of hypnosis as one of her strategies.

‘I have been doing some hypnosis lately… it’s shockingly good!’ she said.

Curtis employs a therapeutic technique he terms ‘hypno-realization,’ claiming it empowers individuals to liberate themselves from their past experiences, enabling them to construct a fresh, powerful bond based on love and connection.

He had battled through numerous years of health issues that began during his first year as a freshman at the University of New Hampshire in 1995, eventually overcoming them.

Upon discovering lesions on his spinal cord through an MRI, he chose to alter his narrative from that of a fraternity athlete to another identity, and instead opted for different approaches in his healing journey.

Curtis credits his university professor for sowing the seeds of his philosophy.

In a 2017 interview, I shared that he guided me in practicing meditation and enlightened me about the concept of mindfulness – simply living in the moment.

Prior to Curtis being in the picture, Aniston was wedded to actor Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005. The well-known duo from Hollywood experienced a dramatic split when he encountered actress Angelina Jolie during the filming of Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

It wasn’t until 2015 that Aniston settled down again, marrying actor Justin Theroux that year.

But theirs wasn’t a lasting romance either – they divorced just three years later.

2022 saw Aniston disclose her past, unsuccessful attempts at In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). She also expressed regret that she hadn’t frozen her eggs several years ago.

‘It was a challenging road for me, the baby-making road,’ Aniston said at the time.

For decades upon decades, there’s been endless conjecture… It proved incredibly challenging. During that time, I underwent in-vitro fertilization, consumed various Chinese teas, and even tried many other methods. I put every possible solution to the test.

If only someone had advised me, “Preserve your eggs for future use,” when I hadn’t considered it before. Alas, I didn’t think about it then, and now that opportunity has passed, I find myself in the position I am today.

But, she added, ‘I have zero regrets.’

As for Curtis, he has one teenage son, Aiden, and lives in New York with his rescue dog, Odie.
