The Hills Star’s Surgery Shocker: ‘I Felt So Lonely’

Lo Bosworth opened up about having surgery for her endometriosis.

As a devoted fan, I share that the radiant figure behind Laguna Beach and The Hills, now 38 years old, bravely disclosed her struggle with a challenging condition affecting many women back in March.

In my recent health journey, I found that the surgical procedure turned out to be more extensive and the recovery process proved to be far more challenging than I initially anticipated.

‘I felt really isolated and lonely throughout my recovery.”

During the time she faced her health emergency, her partner Dom Natale was still on the mend following his recent jaw surgery, which he underwent merely a few weeks prior.

In my case, I was fortunate to have my partner tending to me, yet I only shared this fact with those closest to me.

Eight weeks following Natale’s double-jaw surgery, Bosworth went through her operation. Yet, an unexpected complication emerged from the repeated surgical interventions.

She expressed that we became an incredibly tight-knit team. We’ve faced numerous challenges together, but without a doubt, he is exceptional. I couldn’t hope for a more suitable companion, she stated.

According to the World Health Organization, endometriosis refers to a condition where tissues resembling the womb’s lining grow elsewhere beyond the uterus.

The organization estimated that approximately 190 million women have the disease worldwide.

When I learned I had endometriosis in March, I decided to take my platform and share a brief video about it along with an extensive post, opening up about this condition and raising awareness for others who may be experiencing similar health challenges.

In her post, she shared her diagnosis: endometriosis, a condition that, unfortunately, is incurable and chronic. Like countless others who silently bear its symptoms such as pain, exhaustion, reproductive problems, and numerous other challenges…

She went on to say, “It was approximately ten years after I first noticed symptoms before I eventually had the laparoscopic surgery to get a definitive diagnosis.

She expressed that her surgical procedure was a humbling experience, as the recovery process turned out to be longer and more painful than she had expected. Before adding that she feels a mix of gratitude, confusion, being overwhelmed, relief, validation, fear, and other emotions.

Additionally, I’ve noticed a significant change in me since making that video nearly a week ago. I feel more composed, less sensitive, and am eager to share my message with others.

‌Bosworth added: ‘Thank you so much for the endless messages over the past two weeks. 

Reading these, I’ve cried multiple times, realizing a profound bond with a community I wasn’t aware I belonged to.

I wish that by telling my experience, it may make you realize you’re not alone in this journey, offer insights into symptoms you might be experiencing, and potentially offer advice if you too are an endurance warrior.

Bosworth and Natale’s surgeries come after the couple got engaged in January.

Little is known about the pair’s relationship, including how they met or when they started dating.

As a die-hard admirer, I can’t help but share my excitement over uncovering Dom’s academic and athletic journey! His LinkedIn profile proudly showcases that he earned his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University – quite an achievement! However, it wasn’t just any ordinary path for him; after transferring from the esteemed Michigan State, he became the star quarterback for Rutgers’ football team. Truly remarkable!

He got his MBA at Fordham University with an emphasis on finance.

In the financial sector, Natalie holds the position of Senior Director for ORIX Credit Opportunities within the ORIX Corporation.

His role involves investing both the Orix balance sheet and external funds into customized private credit opportunities. The primary focus is on asset-based financing spanning various sectors such as lender finance, specialized finance, esoteric Asset-Backed Securities (ABS), equipment finance, core-plus infrastructure, and more.

Bosworth gained recognition in the limelight, sharing it with Lauren Conrad, Audrina Patridge, Heidi Montag, Kristin Cavallari, Stephen Colletti, Morgan Smith, Christina Sinclair, Trey Phillips, and Dieter Schmitz.

Last year, during an interview on Just B with Bethenny Frankel, Bosworth openly discussed that her relationships on The Hills faced difficulties.

She stated that as young women, we frequently found ourselves in tricky predicaments, needing to compete fiercely just to survive the demanding workday.

After departing from the reality TV scene, her primary attention has shifted towards managing her business, Love Wellness, a venture dedicated to developing supplements and items aimed at promoting women’s vaginal health.
