Nataliia Richardson was eliminated from The Great British Bake Off during Tuesday’s episode, marking the end of her journey on the show.
The 32-year-old contestant from Ukraine was eliminated after the judges weren’t impressed with her final pastry creation during pastry week.
It was so heartbreaking to watch! When Noel told Nataliia the news, she just couldn’t hold back the tears. The thought of her leaving was clearly devastating for her, and honestly, for all of us watching. It was a really emotional moment.
Speaking to the camera, she said: ‘I’m proud of myself and I think my little girl would be proud.
‘I hope I’ve made my country a bit proud of me. Oh my gosh, I’m going to cry.’
Fighting back tears, she said she was so happy to have met everyone and that she loved them all, adding that they were incredibly kind. She paused, overwhelmed with emotion, and admitted she was about to cry again.
Nataliia’s most impressive creation was a sculpted tart shaped like a swan. She made it with pistachio ganache, a raspberry filling, and cream.
