The game-changing Thunderbolts credit scene was only filmed a month ago
As a thrilled fan, I can’t help but share the exciting news: just last month, Thunderbolts director, Jake Schreier, revealed that the mind-blowing post-credits scene in the film was only recently filmed!
A forthcoming crossover involving the Avengers seems to be foreshadowed in that particular scene. For more specifics, check out our detailed explanation here.
According to Schreier, the details on how that final credits sequence unfolded were decided upon quite close to the interview date with ComicBook.

It’s possible that it was only recently filmed, but now it seems like it was a while back. Marvel excels at such long-term planning over there.
Schreier also confirmed that he didn’t film the scene himself but was “there when it was filmed”.
He noted that it could be originating from a movie or TV show’s filming location, which is about to begin, making it an exciting possibility for spectators to stick around and observe the process.
Based on the recent start of production for “Doomsday” and the upcoming appearance of the Thunderbolts in the movie, it seems plausible that this is the set Screier is talking about.
The filmmaker went on, expressing his gratitude for the event. “Right from the start, we envisioned that final scene,” he said. “Our challenge was crafting a narrative that matched its significance, which I believe we achieved.
In simpler terms, the scene that plays after the credits in this Marvel film has been recorded as the longest among all Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films, lasting approximately 2 minutes and 54 seconds, with a little bit of leeway.
Currently, Thunderbolts is enjoying a fantastic Rotten Tomatoes rating of 88%, making it the highest-rated Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film since Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021.
According to a review on Digital Spy, Thunderbolts seems reminiscent of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in a delightful manner, offering an opportunity for its characters and their unique narrative to take center stage instead of dealing with broader issues.
Thunderbolts* is out now in cinemas.
