The first Skeleton Crew trailer is here!

As a gamer who grew up with the thrilling adventures of the ’80s classics like The Goonies and E.T., the unveiling of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew has me beyond excited! With its nostalgic vibe and a fresh spin on intergalactic escapades, I can’t wait to embark on this journey with Jude Law and those four spirited young explorers.

Here it is! The initial sneak peek for “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” has been unveiled! Fans were given their first glimpse of the series, featuring Jude Law, during 2024’s D23 Expo, where the very first teaser trailer was debuted.

The trailer oozes 80s-style action movies, reminiscent of films like “The Goonies” and “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial”. From stumbling upon a spaceship to the high-speed hover bikes, the adventure begins when they discover a ship in the woods. The blend of real-world effects and computer-generated imagery promises an exciting journey, and the show is visually captivating.

In this reimagined narrative: A group of four children find themselves adrift in outer space accompanied by an enigmatic Force-wielder named Jod Na Nawood, played brilliantly by Law. Their mission is to return home on board the spaceship, the Onyx Cinder. Throughout their cosmic voyage, they encounter a droid named SM-33, who’s voiced by Nick Frost and initially reluctant to assist them. The series is reminiscent of family-friendly movies from the 1980s, appealing especially to young viewers.

Four main characters in the show are called Wim (Ravi Cabot-Conyers), KB (Kyriana Kratter), Neel (Robert Timothy Smith), and Fern (Ryan Kiera Armstrong). Neel has quickly gained popularity among viewers, with many liking the blue-colored elephant character. At present, we don’t know what alien species Neel belongs to. Many people are speculating that he might be similar to Max Rebo from Return of the Jedi. However, it is important to note that the award-winning preschool series, Young Jedi Adventures, has introduced a new elephant-like species that hasn’t been named yet. These creatures originate from the planet Andraven and resemble Neel more closely than the Ortolan, as they share the same blue color but have distinct differences.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew will debut on Disney+ on December 3. Check out the trailer below.
