Get ready to revisit the world of high fashion! The first footage from the long-awaited sequel, The Devil Wears Prada 2, has arrived. We’ve seen glimpses of the outfits, but this is the first time we’re seeing Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway back in their roles. The new teaser trailer is thrilling, and it makes you wonder what’s become of the complex relationship between Miranda and Andy.
The first trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2 mainly shows a pair of red heels walking through the offices of Runway Magazine. The trailer builds suspense until the woman wearing the heels steps into an elevator, revealing it’s Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly.
Dressed in a stylish black outfit and sunglasses, she pivots to address Andy, played by Anne Hathaway, who managed to squeeze into the elevator just in time, and says:
Took you long enough.
After that, Anne Hathaway’s character puts on her sunglasses and smiles, prompting me to wonder: What’s the current state of the relationship between Miranda and Andy?
In the original Devil Wears Prada film, Andy started as Miranda’s assistant and was often dismissed. This new trailer shows Andy smiling and wearing sunglasses, which makes me think she might be on more equal footing with Miranda now.
Good news for fans! A sequel to The Devil Wears Prada is coming out on May 1, 2026.
