The First Descendant Season 2: Void Chaser Launches in December With Two New Characters, ‘High-Stakes’ Dungeon, and Companion
As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent exploring the digital realms of various worlds, I can confidently say that the announcement of The First Descendant Season 2: Void Chaser has me absolutely thrilled! The prospect of venturing into the Deep Void in search of the Iron Heart is not just another quest, but a journey I’ve been eagerly anticipating.
Nexon has revealed that the second season of The First Descendant, titled “Void Chaser”, is set to release in December. This upcoming season will feature the introduction of two additional Descendants, a helpful creature called Fellow who belongs to the Arche species, and a challenging new dungeon with higher risks involved.
In the next chapter, Voice Chaser resumes the tale of Albion, where the Heirs embark on a quest following enigmatic transmissions coming from the vast, empty Abyss, in their unrelenting hunt for the ‘Iron Heart’. The derelict vessels of Vulgus present potential dangers, while the Descendant Keelan from the HOUND recon team is sent to investigate the Ghost Ship.
With Keelan joining the fray alongside fresh recruit and HOUND agent Ines Raya, as well as updated character skins, Season 2 content is all laid out for us. Starting day one, Keelan brings a collection of harmful abilities and a dash that penetrates enemies to the battlefield. Meanwhile, the new female Descendant character, Ines Ray, will be introduced in January 2025 through an update.
In the recently introduced dungeon lies the core of the previously mentioned Void Vessel, where a formidable new adversary called ‘Dread Armor’ resides – a massive foe whose arsenal changes with every stage. The weapons of Dread Armor transition from a handgun and shield, to dual melee weapons, then dual firearms, and you can engage him in either Normal or Hard modes. Overcoming Dread Armor will grant you access to Keelan and the customizable Arche Fellow companion.
Furthermore, Season 2 introduces a fresh Sharen Story Quest and an enhanced version of Sharen called Ultimate Sharen, who can throw daggers in all directions. Also included are a challenging new battle scenario known as Void Abyss Intercept, the powerful weapons ‘Hammer and Anvil’, and ‘Voltia’ (which comes free with the Season 2 Battle Pass), along with additional features.
