The First Descendant Season 1: Invasion Launches Next Week With New Character Hailey, New Weapons, and ‘Invasion Dungeon’ Challenges

As a seasoned gamer with decades of looter-shooter escapades under my belt, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement upon hearing about the upcoming Season 1: Invasion for The First Descendant. The prospect of a new long-range Descendant, Hailey, with her sub-zero bullets and storm snare, is enough to make any sniper-enthusiast like myself quiver with anticipation.

Next week, Nexon Games will unveil updates for “The First Descendant” during Season 1: Invasion. Expectations include the introduction of a potent long-range character to join the team, novel ‘Invasion Dungeon’ trials, progression through seasonal power enhancements, and additional features.

Hailey, the newest recruit of Ingris, has been assigned to intercept and neutralize a fresh threat from the Vulgus, who are aiming at the dungeons beneath the continent. Known for her prowess as a sniper in a guerrilla unit, Hailey is equipped with an anti-material sniper rifle, ice bullets, and a storm trap, along with the unique ability to lower her body temperature and release cold air for a tactical advantage in combat.

As an enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the latest challenge, the Invasion Dungeon, will pop up within the tougher Infiltration Operation dungeons designed for speedrunners. The faster you can conquer this Invasion, the more lucrative the rewards! Additionally, the formidable Ultimate Freyna is joining our game, along with a new Season Growth feature called Inversion Reinforcement. This enhancement will provide gradual boosts in hunting skills, attributes, recovery, survival, and seasonal aspects, making our gaming experience even more exciting!

In the upcoming update, Freyna’s background story as a Descendant will be expanded, explaining the source of her ‘Room Zero Trauma’ ability. Additionally, players will encounter a new Void Intercept Boss Battle against the Death Stalker. As for rewards, the Excava assault rifle with its powerful charged shot is now obtainable as a free Battle Pass reward. Meanwhile, the Season 1 Frost Watcher scout rifle is particularly effective for Viessa or Hailey, as it lowers chill resistance to amplify cold damage.

The First Descendant Season 1: Invasion is ready to debut starting from August 29th on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. This free-to-play looter-shooter will introduce numerous updates and enhancements, one of which is the arrival of a “mysterious market vendor” in Albion’s central zone.
