The Fantastic Four: First Steps trailer welcomes the family into the MCU
The first trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps has been released.
In the upcoming Marvel film, an entirely fresh group of actors will portray the renowned quartet. Specifically, Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn will depict Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Ben Grimm, and Johnny Storm respectively.
Before its summer debut, a sneak peek of the movie was revealed today at a special gathering, highlighting its 1960s backdrop as we meet the Fantastic Four for the first time.
At the family dinner hour, we witness The Thing preparing a meal with assistance from a robot, following which the scene shifts to Mr. Fantastic contemplating the space voyage that bestowed upon them their extraordinary abilities.
Before our first ascent, Sue hadn’t had the ability to become invisible, Ben wasn’t transformed into stone, and Johnny hadn’t ignited on fire,” he explained to Sue.
She replies: “Ben has consistently stood strong, Johnny remains Johnny, and I’m present. No matter what challenges life presents, we’ll confront them united as a family.
As a gamer, I’ve just gotten my first peek at the game’s stars in motion, thanks to the recently released trailer. Last summer, during the filming, Pascal was kind enough to share a photo of the whole cast together on set.
In the upcoming film, Julia Garner portrays Shalla-Bal/Silver Surfer, with Ralph Ineson taking on the role of Galactus. Additionally, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Paul Walter Hauser have been cast in undisclosed roles.
The film comes from director Matt Shakman, who has helmed episodes of Game of Thrones and Fargo.
The film is set in the 1960s, as mentioned by Shakman at San Diego Comic-Con: “We’re creating a blend of the past and future for the ’60s. Syd Mead served as our inspiration.
1960s for me embodies a sense of hopefulness. I’m drawn to the Fantastic Four. Their superpowers captivate me. Our goal is to remain faithful to the original comics, while also staying authentic to real-life experiences.
Last year, Quinn mentioned that he hasn’t had conversations with his previous counterparts as the Human Torch, Chris Evans and Michael B. Jordan. He expressed his desire to create a unique interpretation of the character, making it distinctly his own.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps will be released in cinemas on July 25, 2025.
