The Fall Guy confirms streaming release date
As a long-time gamer and movie enthusiast, I’m always on the lookout for new releases that promise excitement and entertainment. The announcement of “The Fall Guy” hitting streaming platforms, specifically Peacock in the US, has certainly piqued my interest.
In the United States, The Fall Guy will be available for streaming, and fans can look forward to watching two different versions of the movie.
The action-comedy featuring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt is set to premiere on Peacock on August 30, 2024. This release includes both the standard version and an extended cut, which is 20 minutes longer.
As an excited fan, I’d describe it this way: This longer cut clocks in at around 1 hour and 26 minutes. And get this, NBCUniversal promises even more thrilling action sequences, heart-pounding stunts, captivating romance, and, oh yes, an abundance of mouthwatering sexy bacon!
The movie brought in only $178 million at the box office during its theater run, which is below expectations considering its production cost of up to $150 million. Additional expenses like marketing weren’t included in that figure, making the overall financial outcome disappointing. As a result, it was announced that the film would be made available for digital purchase soon after its initial release.
The UK release date for the physical copy of the film is August 5th. Based on the US pattern, where the streaming version became available about a month after the DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K disc release, it’s possible that we might be able to stream the film in September. However, an exact date is yet to be determined.
As a film critic with over a decade of experience under my belt, I’ve seen my fair share of movies that try to balance action, comedy, and romance, but few manage to pull it off as seamlessly as “The Fall Guy.” This film had me hooked from the get-go with its engaging plot and well-developed characters.
The story effectively captures the classic feel of a screwball comedy, with its main characters engaging in witty banter that eventually reveals their deep-seated emotions.
