The extraordinary fortune Shane Warne left his three children – as son Jackson embarks on new career inspired by his dad

Shane Warne left behind a sizeable inheritance for his children after his tragic death in 2022.

In the months leading up to his passing, it was disclosed that the late cricket star, Warne, accumulated a staggering wealth of approximately $20.7 million.

Each of his kids, Brooke (age 28), Jackson (26), and Summer (23), received roughly one-third of their father’s estate, amounting to approximately $6.41 million apiece.

Warne asked that his valued set of vehicles worth approximately $375,500, which included a BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and a Yamaha motorcycle, be passed on to his son and closest friend, Jackson, upon his demise.

Warne’s property portfolio encompassed approximately $6.754 million in his Australian bank accounts, around $514,000 in foreign holdings, a lavish seaside house in Melbourne valued at about $6.5 million, nearly $3 million worth of stocks, and roughly $2 million in personal assets such as a jet ski.

After retiring from cricket in 2007, the athlete leveraged his exceptional skills on the field and larger-than-life character to build a highly prosperous business empire, utilizing them both extensively.

2019 saw him establish the 708 Gin distillery, located in Western Australia. Remarkably, one of his crafted gins secured a gold medal at the Australian Gin Awards that same year.

In August 2020, Shane Warne introduced a new fragrance named SW23, which represents a combination of his initials and the jersey number he donned while playing cricket for Australia.

In a span of approximately 17 years, from 2001 to 2018, he made transactions on at least five high-fashion homes in Brighton, Melbourne. One of these properties was a mansion that he bought and sold twice, ultimately generating an impressive $18.8 million profit.

In 2007, he purchased another property at a cost of $3.7 million and successfully sold it for $6.7 million two years afterwards, marking a significant profit. Similarly, a property worth $7.5 million was sold for $10.8 million four years later, indicating a similar level of gain.

Apart from his residence, Warne additionally owns an apartment within the luxurious $540 million Saint Moritz development in St Kilda, reportedly acquired back in 2018 at a price of $5.4 million.

Approximately 93% of his total wealth worth $20,711,013.27 will be inherited by his three children. The remaining 7%, which amounts to about $1,468,569.25, is divided among his brother Jason (around $293,713.85), and his brother’s children, Sebastian and Tyla (each receiving roughly $293,713.85 as well).

His ex-wife Simone Callahan, who he was married to for 15 years, was not listed in the will.

After Jackson disclosed that his latest professional shift serves as a form of therapy for him, as he navigates through the grief of losing his father.

He has launched his new podcast, Warnes Way, and explains how he pays tribute to his dad on set.

Jackson shared with the Herald Sun that we’ve established a workspace, which happens to be in his father’s former office. As a result, it gives us a sense that he’s still around.

‘We’ve got all his memorabilia, his book, his ashtray, it’s really special.’

In 2018, Jackson initially intended to collaborate with his father on a father-son podcast, but unfortunately, the project never materialized.

With acquaintances familiar with his father, like Eddie McGuire and Mark Howard, Jackson expresses that the podcast has provided a method for him to cope with and heal his sorrow.

‘I’m also treating it as a bit of therapy for me,’ the professional poker player said.

Instead of consulting a therapist, I find that conversing with individuals such as Mark Howard and Eddie McGuire offers a very intimate exchange where we often share deeply personal father-related tales.

Jackson announced the new podcast in an Instagram post earlier this week.

The first episode will be broadcast live on Monday, August 11th. You can tune in on YouTube and Spotify, as he mentioned in his post.

Guests will include Aaron Finch and Andrew Bassat.

The podcast is edited and filmed by Jackson’s girlfriend, Kiah Broadsmith.

The renowned cricket player Shane Warne passed away at the age of 52 due to a heart attack during his vacation in Koh Samui, Thailand.
