The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Unreal Engine 5 Remake Could Release as Soon as Next Month

As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve been buzzing with excitement ever since the whisper started circulating that the classic masterpiece, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, might be getting an Unreal Engine 5 makeover! And if the chatter is to be believed, it could drop as early as next month! Can you feel the anticipation in the air? I sure can!

Since 2023, whispers of a potential remake for the film “Oblivion” have persisted, even being referenced in legal documents. Recently, these remake rumors have started circulating once more, with trusted source NatetheHate suggesting that an official announcement could be made as early as this month or the next one.

It seems that the game initially aimed for a June release, but it might come out earlier according to reports from Video Games Chronicle (VGC). The studio Virtuos, which collaborates with Konami on Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, is rumored to be working on the Oblivion remake.

Since its establishment in 2004, Virtuos has been delivering development support for numerous AAA titles such as “Call of Duty,” “Dark Souls,” “Battlefield,” “BioShock,” “Tomb Raider,” and many more. The studio is also said to be working on an updated version of “Oblivion” featuring improved gameplay mechanics, including stamina, stealth, block system, archery, and response to hits, in addition to a modernized Heads-Up Display (HUD).

It seems like there might be a new version of “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion” coming out shortly. This could help pass the time until we get our hands on “The Elder Scrolls VI”.
