The Branning family from the soap opera EastEnders took a break from the on-screen drama for a fun night out, and they shared photos of their festive evening on Instagram on Sunday.

I was so thrilled to see the family from my favorite soap opera dining out in London! They all seemed incredibly happy and were clearly having a wonderful time at what looked like a really upscale restaurant.

Jacqueline Jossa, 33, posted some fun photos featuring her former co-stars, including Jake Wood, 53, Scott Maslen, 54, Ellie Dadd, 20, Kitty Castledine, 23, and Pierre Moullier, 25.

Jacqueline, Pierre, and Jake quickly become a close-knit family. Jake is the father of Jacqueline and Pierre.

Scott, also known as Jack, portrays Max’s brother, making his daughters, Penny and Amy, cousins to Lauren and Oscar, as they are all part of the extended Branning family.

The cast members could be seen joking around, singing along to reels, and posing for group photos.

The outing comes after Jake returned to the square. 

The last time viewers saw him was in February 2021, when his character left Walford after his affair with Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) came to light and she chose to remain with her husband, Mick.

His brother, Jack, encouraged him to start a new chapter, so he decided to move to New Zealand and reconnect with his daughter, Lauren.

After a four-year absence, Max reappeared on the BBC show in September.

As many viewers are aware, Zoe Slater, played by Michelle Ryan, unexpectedly came back to the show earlier this week.

After a market vendor was shot and hospitalized, Kat became deeply concerned for her daughter’s safety.

While Zoe was in the hospital, her phone rang. Kat answered it, unaware that it was Max Branning calling.

Max stayed silent to avoid being recognized by Kat. Rumors about the popular character’s comeback first started circulating in July.

According to a source, Jake’s comeback to EastEnders is exciting news for viewers, as his character was very popular and memorable.

His return will likely surprise viewers, especially since he missed the show’s 40th anniversary celebration. Showrunners are thrilled, believing his character will add excitement and new storylines.
