It seems the therapists Olivia Rodrigo found for her band really helped.
22-year-old pop sensation known as “Vampire” and her tour manager, Marty Hom, made counseling services available to all team members during the “Guts” tour, as shared by rhythm guitarist Daisy Spencer in an episode of “The StageLeft Podcast.
Spencer, aged 31, expressed to host Chris Simpson that he’s never experienced anything similar before. This encounter rekindled in him the significance of therapy as something he had neglected for quite some time.
Rodrigo and Spencer concluded their 102-show global “Guts” tour on July 1st, and they delivered an outstanding main act performance at Glastonbury. At Glastonbury, they were joined by Robert Smith from The Cure on stage. During a recent podcast interview, Spencer referred to Rodrigo as the “most delightful boss ever,” while discussing his strategies for maintaining mental and physical health during their travels.

Music
At just 20 years old, Olivia Rodrigo, who has been nominated for six Grammys, is preparing for her inaugural arena tour. However, she’s expressing a desire to improve her metal scream.
She exclaimed, “Suddenly, I found myself with an amazingly abundant pool of therapists and I made full use of it.” She continued, “I would go, let’s say, once a week, sometimes every other week, or whenever my schedule allowed. And even during the downtime, we still had access to this resource.
Rodrico’s father, Chris Rodrigo, is a family counselor, and it’s well-known that the singer began therapy at the age of 16.
She shared with CBS Sunday Morning in 2021 that it was a significant, self-discovery-promoting event for her. It taught her a great deal about herself.
Not just her, another notable musician – Lewis Capaldi – has joined forces in advocating for therapy. After taking a two-year hiatus from performing to prioritize his overall wellbeing, he declared on Monday that he’s teaming up with BetterHelp to offer a staggering 734,000 hours of complimentary online therapy sessions. Ariana Grande has collaborated with this virtual therapy platform in the past as well.
Although the “Guts” tour is over, Rodrigo has multiple festival performances scheduled for the summer, such as the headline slot on August 1 at Lollapalooza.
