The Devil Wears Prada 2 cast grows with a Charlie’s Angel, an Office star and a Kylie Jenner connection

Filming for The Devil Wears Prada 2, the eagerly anticipated sequel from 20th Century Studios, has commenced at last, and now seven fresh actors are part of the ensemble.

The first movie, drawn from Lauren Weisberger’s book that was influenced by her experience with Anna Wintour at Vogue, featured Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep in its cast. This production generated an impressive $326 million globally on a budget of only $35 million.

For quite some time now, fans have eagerly demanded a follow-up, and at last, their wish is being granted, as the film will be adapted from Laura Weisberger’s 2013 sequel novel titled “Revenge Wears Prada.

With the manufacturing process underway, we’ve got some exciting news! Seven fresh faces have been confirmed as cast members, and we’re thrilled to share that several original actors will be returning to their roles too.

In the upcoming sequel, we have some exciting new cast members such as an actress known from Charlie’s Angels, a comedian hailing from The Office, and a link to the famous reality personality, Kylie Jenner.

The primary four new actors joining the team are Lucy Liu, known for Charlie’s Angels, Justin Theroux from The Leftovers, B.J. Novak, a familiar face from The Office, and Pauline Chalamet, who is associated with The Sex Lives of College Girls. Notably, she is the sister of Timothée Chalamet’s girlfriend, Kylie Jenner’s companion.

The specifics about the roles of the newly added cast members have not been disclosed, but they are set to join an existing group of three other fresh faces in the ensemble.

Actors Helen J. Shen from the show “Maybe Happy Ending” and Conrad Ricamora from “Oh, Mary!” are joining forces with comedian Caleb Hearon, who is keeping his roles confidential for now.

In a delightful twist, the two initial stars from The Devil Wears Prada are reprising their roles. These include Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman.

The story unfolds a full ten years following the initial events, introducing us to Andy and Emily who have jointly established a thriving bridal magazine known as “The Plunge.

Additionally, Andy finds herself preparing for her own wedding, all while Miranda Priestly re-enters the picture, attempting to take ownership of their magazine.

In the sequel, the original director David Frankel and scriptwriter Aline Brosh-McKenna come back on board, while Wendy Finerman takes over as producer.

Liu recently emerged from Rosemead, a movie that premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival last month, whereas Theroux has been consistently appearing in Netflix’s show, Running Point.

In the latest development, Novak was featured in an episode of Poker Face on Peacock, whereas Chalamet’s series, The Sex Lives of College Girls, will conclude after a run of three seasons on Max.

20th Century Studios has scheduled the premiere of the sequel for May 1, 2026, which will be in competition with Sony’s humorous animated film, “Animal Friends,” featuring Ryan Reynolds and Jason Momoa.
