Back in December 2021, authorities apprehended him due to accusations of domestic violence. The arrest came following claims that he had choked his girlfriend within a hotel room in Oklahoma.
It is said that he allegedly grew irritated with his companion, during their night out at a bar, when she failed to bill two female admirers for his autograph.
In their hotel room at Hyatt Place Oklahoma City, Ratray is said to have shoved her onto the bed, then placed one hand over her throat and another over her mouth.

Additionally, Ratray is said to have told her, ‘This is your end,’ while continuing to strangle her. In response, his girlfriend sank her teeth into Ratray’s hand and tried to call out for assistance.
Initially, he ceased strangling her, yet it’s claimed that he started brutally hitting her afterwards. Remarkably, she was able to escape his hold and sprinted out of the room.
It’s claimed that Ratray struck her forcefully on a desk after she went back into the room to gather her items.
According to KFOR, the victim was discovered bearing various wounds such as discoloration beneath her left and right eyes, abrasions near the upper left corner of her lip, a bruise on her chest, and a tender arm.
After a heated argument, the duo parted ways. As reported by Fox News, it was disclosed by a law enforcement insider that Ratray surrendered himself, went through the necessary procedures, and was subsequently released on bail.
He was released from custody after posting a $25,000 bond and denied the allegations.
In the previous year, it emerged that he was likewise under investigation by officials from New York due to accusations that he had sexually assaulted a woman within New York City in 2017.
Following news of the assault allegations, Lisa Smith reached out to the prosecution regarding a police report she submitted back in 2017, in which she accused that actor of rape.
As a committed follower, I expressed my curiosity about the lack of pursuit in the case to CNN. I was advised by the authorities that they believed I wished to maintain anonymity and declined to file charges.
Smith states that she had been friends with the actor for approximately fifteen years prior to the reported incident. She also mentions that she socialized with his brother, Ratray, and another friend at a gathering in New York City just before the alleged assault.
Afterward, the team headed to Ratary’s apartment for another round, where he firmly suggested that Smith use a particular glass instead.
She mentioned that she felt tired shortly after consuming it, and Ratray suggested she spend the night and rest on the couch instead.
Smith believes that she was drugged by the star, saying: ‘I remember waking up and I couldn’t move.
Even though I couldn’t fully open my eyes, I was aware of the surroundings and sensed everything taking place. I had a sense that the other two individuals had left, and I remained on the couch.
She asserted that the incident lasted for what seemed like an endless duration, and it wasn’t until approximately 2 pm the following day that she managed to regain control of her body, at which point she left the apartment.
On the day following the incident, Smith shared with a friend, her sibling (either sister or brother), and another brother about the event that transpired. Subsequently, she sent a text message to Ratray, expressing her feelings directly.
After he asserted his innocence, Smith decided to file a police report several weeks afterward. Later on, they arranged a meeting with an NYPD detective in Salt Lake City. However, incorrectly, the detective noted that Smith didn’t wish to pursue prosecution.
Smith expressed her deep disappointment that the authorities did not look into her accusations when she initially reported them.
During the occurrence, she journeyed from another state to attend an interview at the Manhattan District Attorney’s office, where she handed over the garments she had worn on the night of the assault.
She stated: What reason could there have been for me to meet with the District Attorney back then, if not because I was prepared to file charges?…All of this was deeply distressing to me.
Upon learning about the accusation against him for attacking another person, it struck me that it’s crucial for me to take any necessary actions to protect other women from potential harm he might cause.
Smith states that she encountered a prosecutor specializing in sex crimes from the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office in May, who expressed regret over how the case was managed.
When CNN reached out to him, Ratray remembered the evening with Smith but refuted her allegations that he had raped her.
According to a DailyMail.com report dated August 25, 2022, a representative from the district attorney’s office has confirmed that they have been communicating with Smith, but chose not to disclose details about the management of the case.
